  1. Well I did the math and it would take around 2556 kills off of stalker(assuming 30% to get a bp, solo play and 40% to get an uncommon drop) to get my Despair so....yeah people got a reason to cry about RNG. It gets worse when there's people that don't have much else to do in the game besides grind(r5 cores, ducats, formaing every weapon) on top of them nerfing Pilferoid.

Sure you can tell people to just play the game for fun but each person has a different idea of fun and after a certain point of not getting the thing you wanted people tend to go towards the grind heavy efficient route or to stop playing. I for one after getting most weapons in the game(missing Despair, Snipetrons, Boar, some AW weapons and some event weapons) decided it would be cool to own all syndicate syndanas(I now own everything in every syndicate).

A little help(like the assassin attractor they showed a long time ago) wouldn't hurt.

At the end of the day though, everyone on here likes this game which is why they complain so much.

    Just my two cents :P

  2. Over 20 days of play-time and no hate or despair... Unless we are talking emotions.

Ahah nah I do mean the weapon, it's the only assassin weapon I don't have :/ if you have similar luck to me then you still have at least 300 hours to go to still not get it xD

  3. It's not that the Prisma skana was a bad weapon it's just that the utility of the syndicate mod helped so much with Xcal but now we are kinda forced to go back to the cookie cutter weapons. This change just decreased the amount of melee variation we had with Xcal, instead of the desired result we will just stick to Dnikana or Dakra. Not to mention they spent several hot fixes actually trying to get syndicate mods to function with his EB.

    *Discliamer: MY opinion*

  4. You do realize the rarity of a mod doesn't mean that it's actually that rare right? The rarity is just there to tell you how much fusion energy it takes to rank it to max. Dude it's all RNG in this game so buckle up. For Equinox(8 pieces for Tyl) it takes roughly 34 runs to get each part so count yourself lucky so far that it's only been 19 for frost.

  5. I am aware of the different states of alertness but sometimes when I'm invis as Loki and I kill someone with the Dread they jump from "unaware" to "alarmed" and go for the control modules even if it's one corpse they see(might just be me lagging? My laptop gets about 25 fps max so I could genuinely just not be invisible anymore by the time they see the corpse and look around).

I do utilize crouching frequently when I'm trying to be stealth especially with frames that aren't Loki and I never have my sentinel weapon precept engaged(I just use sentinels for utility) so the chances they are breaking my stealth are pretty slim.

On the topic of finishers and their animations, I just feel that all finishers should be 100% lethal regardless of type as mentioned before just specified on the stealth bit because this is a stealth post :P I also agree that the finisher animations are slow and the fact that it can be awkward to get them off if you're not on the same plane as the enemy makes it feel to me a bit clunky so I'd be all for having fury increase the animation speed.

The drop rate thing I had in mind when I was coming up with that is because as mentioned due to them being unaware they would be exposing weakpoints so they would also be carrying more valuable things on them due to thinking they were safe, however, the point of you being able to loot the body for longer due to the surrounding enemies being unaware is good logic too. It's a method that allows for people who want to explore and take a slow mission(when I hunt for medallions it can range between 10 minutes to half an hour) to get keep up in rewards to others that would rush through and do the mission in like 2 minutes and just continually grind it out till they got what they wanted.

  6. This topic is about some tweaks or changes I would make. I think the addition of stealth affinity gains and the bonus damage are a step in the right direction but I feel that to round it out there are some things I would tweak.

    1. In my opinion all finishers should be lethal considering they are called "Finishers", however, if that can't be done then stealth finishers in particular should be 100% lethal for all weapons due to the following:

The enemy doesn't know you're there hence the melee damage multiplier.

They would be exposing weak points due to the lack of awareness.

If you are undetected then theoretically as a ninja who stalked their prey you would have had enough time to plot the most efficient and fastest way to kill that enemy.

    2. Stealth attacks should have a different color so you can tell when you do actually crit(small quality of life change). Maybe purple or green?

    White is normal damage

    Blue is shields

    Yellow is critical

    Red is over 100% critical

For any that don't know the current damage colors.

    3. When equipping enemy sense or enemy radar the minimap should show you the enemy vision/awareness cone in order to help with stealth maneuvering on frames that don't have any built in stealth mechanics.

    4. Alertness on certain factions should not be a full hive mind(kill one and the whole tile set knows where you are). Not sure if this is a bug or intended.

It's kind of acceptable for the infested and upcoming sentients because there are meant to have a hive mind but for the Grineer, Void and Corpus it gets annoying real quick when your stealth attempts get ruined by one kill.

    5. Finishers should be added to MOAs since this is actually a good chunk of the Corpus and I'm not sure if it's just me but a majority of the infested don't seem to have finishers either.

    6. A successful stealth finisher should increase the chances of rare drops from that enemy like say if a drop only has 0.5% drop rate then a stealth finisher would increase it from 1-10% drop rate, which, is still fairly low but also allows for a way to combat some of the grind. There needs to be some more rewards to actually playing stealthily for a prolonged period.

I might add more as I come up with them but for now these are some ideas I think would help stealth be more rounded out. Feel free to critique below.

  7. I've said it before and I'll say it again

    Rant start.

I'm genuinely thinking of taking it off my Sheev now...If it didn't have the plus 100 damage I would drop it, you might as well just take a heavy weapon since they have comparable damage with larger damage multipliers on their stances(lookin' at you Tempo Royale 5x damage multiplier) no need to stealth when you can just oneshot anyway and if you do wanna stealth and you go for finishers you'll be doing more than enough damage anyways(1600% melee damage ignoring armor and resistances and can crit).

Sure daggers have the shortest finisher animation but realistically you don't do many stealth finishers in this game, in my experience I won't get more than 10 stealth kills(almost all at long distance with the Dread at the start of the mission), let alone stealth finishers in a non solo setting.

How often do you get melee stealth finishers in a non solo mission that isn't spy or rescue? I get that it's meant to be niche but even so it's got limited use. Only certain Warframes like Ash, Loki, Banshee, Mirage, Oberon, Equinox and Xcal would really be able to take advantage of this. They should have just made it not apply to Xcals exalted blade in the first place.

Also it only works on daggers, whose animation modifiers are one of the slowest in the game. Having this mod made them more usable, as in order to combat that slowness you would just try to stealth and insta kill anyway.

Sure the argument can be made for Ghost, Stalk and Arcane trickery but again that's kinda niche too, not to mention the plat or grinding of raids necessary to get that enhancement.

I feel like they should just rework stealth. Imo all stealth finishers should be insta kill anyway since 1. The enemy doesn't know you're there and 2. They would be exposing their vulnerable areas due to the lack of enemy awareness.

    Rant end.....for now.

TLDR: I don't even know what I'm trying to say, I'm just kinda sad. :C

  9. I'm pretty sure they are working on more detail and a few redesigns of things since a bunch of them are place holders like the eximus and pretty sure the void enemies were meant to be place holder too. I expect they'll be phasing out the place holder things when they iron out their lore or have the technology to implement them the way they see fit.

That being said I like the faction designs and functional? Lawl you know this is a space ninja game where you have super powers and shoot things for a living right?

  10. Yeah, no. If you use lasers in anything below wave 20 I'mma bail the closest rotation. It's way too annoying to keep watching out for lasers especially since I'm a melee guy. If I go down in a group of enemies, that's a group liability since that requires at least one person to revive me and another to cover that person.

  11. And this is a perfect summary of the argument against the exilus. We don't want it to be free...we just don't want it to be a massive headache.

Scanning is fine in small amounts but for each run you have to see if the thing is even going to spawn, run all over the map to find it, work to hold it down so you can scan it, and most importantly pray to whatever god you believe in some noob or troll doesn't come and nuke the damn thing.

If someone says "Just do solo runs" that means the mission is probably going to take even longer, the mob will take more time to find, and while scanning you run the risk of getting obliterated by anything else around you and wasting a revive (those chargers made short work of my completely kitted out Chroma while I was trying to scan earlier today).

Now then multiply all this by the amount of runs it's going to take to fit all 23 of my potatoed warframes with these things and you see the slight issue I and others may have with this.

But loki and ash exist......and there are easy missions to do for scanning like deception or capture....and the synth targets usually spawn near the end of mission or objective.....really all I'm hearing is people are lazy. You can easily max out your simaris rep for the day in 20 minutes.
