As they explained, it's a problem embedded deep inside the game, they can't just "stealth release" this kind of changes, it requires a full code modification

I've played many times with a friend at their house, & I don't remember the game asking me for a code or anything, I only had to put my mail address & password

On topic, I don't know the answer, but you can simply try it in the simulacrum, equip a bunch of armor mods, see the result, then do the same for strength, & compare

I saw some posts on the forum of people with the exact same issue and the only way they (seemingly) fixed it was by contacting support, so yea. I have no option but to wait. unfortunately.
Thanks for the ETA on the ticket. I will write down whichever solution I find when I do find it for future people with the same issue, Hopefully soon.
