  2. So I was in one of those moods where you just Gotta Go Fast Gotta Go Fast... you know what I mean right?

     

    Thus, I modded Volt for a Speed only build, and the Dual Ichors for speed as well. I've been having way too much fun not to share my builds. I'm still messing around with the Volt build to find its sweetspot, but the Dual Ichors are pretty straight forward.

  3. I think a Sai would be way cooler. But Honestly they could add anything from Shadow Fight 2 and it would be awesome (including animations- esp. unarmed combat).

  4. Honestly, stop expecting to go deep into missions without good gear. Your comments on "10 forma gear" make it obvious you've never even tried upgrading weapons, otherwise you'ld know that dropping more than 6 forma on *any* weapon is a waste, and depending on exact builds less is often sufficient to fill all cards with maxed mods. So now it seems to me like you're the kind of player who asks for nerfs because they can't be bothered putting in the time or effort to get good gear or, in fact, any decent skills. As someone who's rocked a Dark Sector with an unranked melee weapon as my ONLY weapon, learn to play, then come back and talk about balance.

    And yes, I've lost my patience if you didn't notice.

    Of course using 10 formas is a waste, I was making a point. No I haven't done much with upgrading cause I havent found weapons I really like yet. Take things with some salt.

    I regret putting the potato comment in, I had a feeling it would derail the topic.

  5. The infested need a rebalance. If anything the spawn rates of ancients should be reduced and not be the same as preU14 for endless missions, esp. defense. Before they were another medium melee unit, now they are Heavy support units, all with auras that stack, still keep old abilities of disrupt/healing pulses/charging, have a pull, and spawn the same as a medium unit. If these mechanics were in any other faction, there would be riots.

    A lot threads i have seen about changing the infested come to arguing between medium, casual players (requesting change, ancients annoying) and Hardcore, 10 forma gear players (saying too easy, they are fine). This thread is about feedback (forma more is not a solution).

     

    For Exterminate and other mission types, the infested currently arent bad. But for endless missions, mainly defense. Ancients are overpowered.

     

    @SolarDwagon, My concern is that if the ancients spawn rates & abilities arent balanced, the new unit will only make the infested more annoying and frustrating to players on defense missions.

     

     

    You don't potato anything though, so what is your idea of balanced, making it possible to solo DS missions without potato'd gear? Then anyone with potato'd gear would stomp it easily and it would be boring.

    I still dont understand the potatoing mechanics. The game seems to be based off the assumption thats gears potatoed. Yet new players start with nothing potatoed, and we wonder why the learning curve is backwards. Anyway, thats another topic all together.

     

    My main points are:

    Need medium units

    reduce ancients spawn rates on endless missions

    Auras & Pull need a look at

    L4D is a good example of what I think infested should be similar to.

  7. Before U14, infested we're my favorite faction to play because you could basically go melee only, and have a slaughterfest. Only Occassionally, I would get stunlocked but that was usually 15+ minutes. Also, dark sectors were a lot of fun, to me the infested was a blast.

    Keep in mind I play solo, don't have anything potatoed, and was able to do Pluto dark sectors mainly melee.

    After U14, Solo defense on Ceres/Pluto with the new ancients is ridiculous. I don't even bother staying past 5 minutes bc the ancients make everything extremely hard to kill.

    I like the new changes for ancients, but it needs some work.

    1: the pull should definitely be it arm stretch, not a hook, and it's ranch should definitely be reduced.

    2: the disrupter ancients should ONLY steal an Amount of energy on long arm attack, not both proc and steal. Mag proc should be removed, aura should be essentially a replacement for that. Mag proc is death on solo.

    3: auras should not stack.

    Overall the infested need more enemy variety, currently u basically have 2 enemy types, normal and heavy. Normal ( chargers,leapers, runners, etc). Heavy being ancients. Its like keep the spawn rates the same, but for Grineer have only Lancers, and Heavy Gunners spawn. Where are the medium level?, like charger exmius health wise. An in between of ancient and charger. I know there's the new unit coming but that just adds a another Heavy. I'm thinking more like grineer hellions,seekers, corpus railgun, elite crewman etc. medium level enemy's that aren't priority targets but are still something to watch for/target.
