Sleep Equinox? Isn't that pretty much the same as Ivara Sleep Arrow (enemies are put to sleep at a 6m radius, suspectible to stealth multipliers) except Equinox doesn't have any inbuilt stealth?🤔

Or is Equinox' Rest ability better?

    Yes and no.

Equinox's rest can be spammed at incredible speed allow you to put a whole room to sleep in a second or two. Sleep arrow is nowhere near that fast. So equinox is better suited for focus farm as he can do it way faster.

On the other hand, equinox's sleep is imperfect, after recieving 50% of their current health as damage they'll wake up. Sleep arrow doesnt have this problem. So equinox is not suited for weapon xp farm as the weapons cant one-shot.

  2. Sounds good, but it doesnt seem failsafe. Will save a bit time for sure, but accidental junking of mods can be done just as easily with this option and with even greater consequences(if you forget it on). Also if they decide to change the endo system again, I'm not sure it won't work against us.

And yes, I know how their triangles look by their various states of alertness, and that's what I'm confused about. Killing unalerted enemies with a stealth melee attack sometimes do and don't give me stealth affinity multiplier, while putting them to sleep while alerted sometimes do and don't give me affinity multiplier.

Well that does sound inconsistent, but then again, i've done  this farm before and didn't had these inconsistencies. If you trully notice those inconsistencies - make a video showing clearly unalerted enemy taking away your multiplier or alerted one giving you. Then post is as a bug. Will try later to reproduce this as well, currently cant.

First of all there is no right way to do things. If you dont like my suggestion it doesnt mean its a bad advice. I did it this way and I didnt face much problems and I enjoyed the ability to play in multiple ways with different weapons and mechanics. You give your advice. I'll give mine. Let them decide which way they wanna take. If they arent gonna be bored to use one shotgun all the time, so be it.

I can agree that there is not 1 way to do things. But considering how many people get stuck at various points throughout the game because they don't have even 1 weapon properly modded and you suggesting him to do the same without giving any proper explanation how to do that without getting stuck... its a bad advice.

  5. It is consistent, but i dont think you're aware of all of the mechanics around it.

The enemy must be unalerted to give you the multiplier.

    He must:

Not have been hit before(multishot is your enemy here)

You must have not touched him phisically with your body.

He must have not heard any gunfire.

He must have not seen any dead bodies around him.

    Sleep prevents any of these.

You can see if an enemies is alerted or not by the minimap with enemy detector:

Empty triangle - he is unalerted and will give you the bonus

A triangle within the triangle - he's alerted.

Full red triangle - he's actively looking for enemies.

PS. Sanctuary Onslaught is more effective than this. Bring a buff frame to give your allies extra damage and stand idle for them to give you the exp to your weapon. And preferably don’t be an idiot and leave before zone 8 - carry 3 weapons.

  6. Ye, Mods > new weapons or warframes. Hek is a good weapon you can invest in for low MR like yours. Focus only on the hek and you frame for modding(you dont have enough endo for the other 2). Clear your way to pluto. Do this first and focus little on anything else otherwise you'll be overwhelmed with information.

  7. Fun is matter of taste honestly. Every frame is fun if you look it with the right eyes.

If you liked the old stealthers you'll find Octavia to your tastes, i think. She's pretty much Loki 2.0. She's very useful and fun, arguably one of the best solo frames and works very well in party and defence. Though she's not fit for Eidolons or specific farms - which require very specific frames:

    Index(credit farm): Mesa, rhino

Eidolon(arcane/focus farm): Chroma, Harrow or Oberon, Trinity, Volt

Resource farm: Hydroid, Nekros, Nova, Trinity

    Endo farm: Nekros, Nidus

  8. All of them are soloable if you have crafted specters of any kind. If you dont have specters all but 1 are soloable. The only poblematic one is the coaction as it requires 4 pads to be pressed at once. This can be done with a loki, his decoy, your operator and a specter.(or chroma and his effigy)

I do not own any Kavats. How do I obtain a good Kavat? I mostly roll as Loki Prime or Frost Prime.

Also what is in the current meta the best Kavat and Sentinel?

How to obtain? you must complete the kubrow quest and breed your first kubrow. Then Gather 10 genetic codes(do that from alerts when they appear, otherwise you might lose your sanity in farming it) and a kavat segment that drops randomly from grineer Hyekka Master

No, there is no 'meta' because they have different useses depending on your gear

    Notable abilities of notable companions.

    Sentinels:

Very useful utility mods - vacum, guardian, medi ray and shield charger. Have sustained dps or can CC enemies effectively around you.

Taxion  - starting sentinel. Gives 200 shields/overshields every 12 seconds. Not very useful.  For starting one its great, otherwise not so much.

Carrier - Can destroy containers 12m in range and gather their loot with vacum. Can give you innate ammo mutation. It has very short attack range. If you use ammo hungry weapons or you do container clearing runs. This is the companion you should use.

Helios - Can scan anything around you. Very useful at the begining of the game as you need to scan tons of things, but once everything is scanned its usefulness disappears.

Deathcube - extra accuracy to weapons and fair attack range(hidden stat). As kubrow/kavat have a very bad AI the sentinels do more consistent damage. This is the one you want to use for pure damage from companion. Not much useful otherwise.

Djin - the new augment to revive itself makes it a good companion for squishier warframes. Using Sacrifice the sentinel will sacrifice itself to ressurect with a minute and a half cooldown. Its surprisingly useful for frames that can easily get one shoted.

Shade - gives stealth in limited way. Situationally useful. I use this only on long endurance runs, but its power there is great.

    Kubrow and kavat:

Can heal your warframe for 30% of the damage(after armor reduciton) they deal. Can be revived at any time while they bleedout,

    Kavat:

Can strip armor from enemies, increasing their damage drastically.

Smeeta - can occasionally give you a 2xExperience and 2xResource booster that stacks over normal boosters for 4x. This one is to me the most useful current companion due to its booster potential.

Adarza - gives you flat 60% critical chance at reliable intervals. Useful on paper, but in most situations it actually is not. Ceased to be useful after a series of nerfs. I note it because it used to be very useful and with the companion rework(comming in the future) it might become useful again.

    Kubrow:

Huras - does the same thing as the Shade, but slightly differently. Choose one of the 2 depending on your preference.

  10. Honestly, any change on wukong will be great.

His Irons staff is pathetic. Its weaker than a zaw even with primal fury. And his 1 and 3 are completely useless, with nukeong gone.

If you ask me, his 1 and 4 should be combined into 1(tap=jab,hold=exalted weapon). His 3 should be zephir-like air dash, because that's what he's lore wise(20'000km distance in a single somersault). His 4 should be made into his iconic 'hair-clones' in equinox-duality-style but more in number and much weaker.

Ideas, plenty, but some change must occur.

If I rank up my mods it'll be good for my rank 30 ash prime or excalibur but what about my next rank 1 warframe who won't be able to equip the mods because they take too much mod capacity?

Thats why you have weapons and cover. It wont be good for rank 1 warframe, obviously, but if you can stay in cover and shoot anything dead... it wont matter. Your gear compliments itself, use it.

Edit: This is a constant stealth ash build, requiring no Orokin Reactor and only 1 forma(place the forma on any of the mods you wish) https://goo.gl/k9JMKH . Getting those mods might be a bit of a pain, but it will be worth it. 0.6 energy regen per sec, 9 energy drain for stealth, 14 secs duration will keep you constantly in stealth.

  12. I fell you mate, same thing happened when i returned.

I just want to remind you than all frames and most weapons are good for 95% of the ingame content.

When i personally returned, i only had loki semi-well modded - it was my favorite frame before break as stealth was, and still is, one of the ultimate defences. Then i focused on maxing him out. I recomend you do the same. Focus on the one frame you enjoy the most and max it out. Experimend with all the new mods. Then check the Focus schools and see how they improve your warframe.

Essentically, take it slowly and fully research 1 point before researching another.

Thank you for your in-depth explanation of the game's mechanics, however right now, when my best energy mod is +5% or a damaged mod that gives energy when taking health orbs. Using an efficient warframe energy-wise means a lot. I'm still using low-MR weapons so focusing on using forma and modding them seems like a waste, especially since I haven't experienced many weapons yet. I'm basically relying on my warframe's abilities to carry me when my weapons can't, something I can't do when my warframe is wasting energy getting damage reduction or healing itself. The reason I like excalibur and ash is because their 4th ability acts as a panic button. If I feel there's too much pressure on me to handle I'll just use bladestorm and mark everything or take out the good ol' exalted blade and "cut through them like carving a cake" to quote Ser Barristan Selmy. With Trinity there's nothing to that effect except skills to give me a couple of seconds more before I'm dead.

Hey mate i feel you. I've recently helped with a friend that went through the same place as you.

True you dont have mods right now and the abilities you have feel powerful. However the more you progress the more though the enemies will be. Damage abilities will cease to be effective very fast after Jupiter and if you dont have your weapons at the ready, you'll be stuck.

Thrust me there is not 1 or 2 topics about people being stuck at around jupiter-uranus because they didnt mod themselfs right.

That's why i recommended stealth. It requires relatively low amount of mods to achieve constant stealth(still hard, but not as hard as to have all mod slots with maxed mods). Stealth will keep you safe, as a constantly active 'panic button'. While only 1 good weapon with well placed mods will allow you to kill anything you face. One such weapon for low MR is the 'hek', and i can safely say its not a waste to forma this 4 barreled shotgun.

  14. Hello mate and welcome to Warframe.

Your criteria is very troublesome, let me explain why.

The game is focused around mods and forma. A weapon will do dozens of times more damage modded than without mods. Depending on the weapon you can reach over 100 times damage difference. The sutuation with warframes is very similar. (if you dont believe me, remove the mods from this and see the difference https://goo.gl/hcE4Vh ). No warframe and no weapon can be effective without good modding. In fact, even the basic MK1 weapons can be good for 95% of the game's content with maxed out mods - and no, i'm not joking about this.

Energy management are what most warframes are about. You must optimally sacrifice energy efficiency to fully use their abilities. This is where mods like Fleeting Expertise, Streamline and Blind rage are about. You can achieve 1/4 of the energy cost of your abilities when well modded. With Focus schools(unlocked after Pluto and The War Within quest), you can regenerate any lost energy in seconds. Or you can have almost double the energy cost, but due to the nature of the abilities that wont be againt you(say a 50 seconds duration buff).

As for which frame is good? DE are focusing on making all warframes be good at something, but be bad at something else. For solo play, even trinity is good for most of the ingame content, because she can stack double 75% damage reduction from 2 of her abilities and heal herself whenever she wants. You must choose what warframe fits your play style and focus at it for the beginning. Stealth frames, like Ash, Loki or Octavia will be a good fit for you at the begining. Stealth gives good defence against enemies which will prove to be very useful when you don't have many mods.

I would recommend against Nidus, as he's not the type of frame that truly fits the gameplay style of the game. He needs to stack and most matches ingame finish before he can do that. Plus that he needs quite a bit of modding.

End line: look which frame you find to be 'fun' for you and focus on modding it. All frames are suitable for modding for the majority of the ingame content and no frame is suitable for all the content.

  15. Most of them are soable. If you pick a warframe like chroma/loki and with some specters and your operator you can do all of them solo. Check this how to do all of the rooms and potentialy use chroma/loki. (for the room that requires 4 pads at once, you place a decoy with loki, one specter, your warframe and operator).

Thanks, maybe I picked the wrong one, I will double check. I also noticed I got an extra Frost Prime at level 0 while I still have my Maxed Frost Prime, why is that? What should I do with it?

There was a free frost prime half an year ago. Iirc it was because of twitch prime. Did you claim any rewards through twitch?

If not, it doesn't, matter, how you use it is up to you. Build it some other way, or sell it and free up the slot for some other frame.

Now this guy is exteremely difficult to get to appear

    That's a bit of exaggeration.

Well i cant say for solo, as i've never done it solo. But on theory it doesnt sound all that hard. For sure, with team its not hard at all - i've done that a couple of times.

Octavia and Ash are your friends here. Octaiva's mallet(strength builded) can kill effectively anything until 1H into the index, but its not instant kill, and Ash's fatal teleport outright kills any humanoid(doesnt work on fliers, but you dont need it to anyway).

The thing you should be most aware of are AOE abilities of the enemies. Stealth will keep your safe, but any aoe or crossfire will one-shot you.

Edit: even with my worst comp, which consisted of 2 octavias(one not properly builded) and 2 randoms(frost and low mr rhino) - it still was easy.

  18. T2 scaffold for offers the highest damage per single shot for Eidolons. T3 brace will give you an extra 12% critical chance. Void Strike(madurai) can be stacked and at around 40 stack and with Unairu Wisp(provided by chroma in the group) the 80x damage will one shot the Eidolon shields. Under 40 stack you can 2 shot the shields. Teralyst shields are much weaker than the other 2 and require even less stacks. A proper team coordination will guarantee that the eidolon shields don't last more than 1-3 seconds.

At the beginning of each night, people usually stack at the gate.

Chroma should be with Unairu wisp as he can't stack. He can help with the teralyst shields.
