  1. Hi guys,

I'm struggling to understand how the flux rifle works.

For fun purposes, I've made a build that would strip armor and not much else. It looks like this:

(split chamber and vigil armaments for 150% multishot, 3 dual stat mods (180% extra status chance) and Flux Overdrive(150+% extra status chance)) https://goo.gl/dH8PQj

It results at 100% weapon status chance, 150% multishot, 50 round magazine and 4.488icone_penetration.png/16.082icone_tranchant.png/24.684icone_corrosif.png/12.342icone_glace.png damage per 'bullet'. Corrosive being 42.8% of the damage.

I test it on level 130 corrupted heavy gunner, which has armor of 11,696. It should take around 33 corrosive procs to completely strip its armor.

Supposedly, the weapon like this should have a total of 250 damage 'numbers'( 50 ammo, 2 ticks per ammo, 2.5 per tick).

I was very surprised to see that it takes a over 'clip and a half'(over 75 ammo) to achieve a full armor strip.

Am I missing something, or a very large amount of the damage 'numbers' do not trigger status at all?

(yes i do realize that 75 * 42.8% is just under 33, but how does that work?)

A take from the update notes for the beam wapons states "Currently Multishot Mods do not increase Status chance.". However, multishot never increased status chance to begin with, it was only in the UI to tell us the average chance per shot after the multishot damage 'numbers'.

Also, am i assuming correctly, that the Flux overdrive gives 150% from the very first tick?(i.e. the 100% weapon status chance is always there)

  2. The more warframe evolves the more the warframe damaging skills and weapons are focused on either focusing on most 'burst'-ing a single target, or AOEing a whole groups of enemies.

Any weapon that cannot fit in these two categories, becomes less effective as the game progresses. As a result, less people use such weapons.

In other words, these are the single target weapons with bad burst damage. This includes most automatic weapons, like the Soma or Gorgon variants, and good amount of the semiautomatic ones, like the akbolto. Its especially problematic with weapons like the Acrid(once the best ingame weapon), which has great sustained dps, but its burst is horrid.

The main problem is the downtime of aiming between the enemies.

So, here comes the suggestion, to utilize Mesa's aim bot and projectile flight speed functionality in order to bring such weapons back into effective gameplay.

It could be anything, from a pure copy of the functionalities into a new warframe abilities - for example, skill 2 to increase projectile speed, skill 1 to 'unload' the clip of the current weapon to all enemies in sight. Or it could be more developed into something more unique. For example, an ability working in reverse direction of Mag's magnetize - a small floating 'orb' which redirects the projectiles at higher speeds to all enemies within its range - with bigger range, but with no damage modifier. Quite a few possibilities.

It will not break the balance much, as one-shot weapons will waste its shots on weak targets,  shotguns will be too far and will receive falloff, beam weapons will be pretty much unusable and strong targets will still be hard to kill considering that there is no damage modification and the majorities of shots will be on other targets.

    Thoughts?

  3. Aye sabotage caches are a pain, but there are a few things you could do:

    1) The right/left hand rule for maze solving - The RNG tiles are connected in such a way that this method works quite nicely for covering every bit of the map. You just have to take notes at which parts of the map are seperated(for example a room with 4 exits, but an elevator in the middle - you have to cover the elevator after covering the rest of the map that is beyond those 4 exits).

    2) Some caches are hidden at hidden places. Turn your sound volume all the way up. The caches emit a specific sound that could be heard from around 20 ingame meters distance if your volume is high up.(Note: stealth mutes this sound).

I use those two methods and i usually get 3/3 and in rare cases(1 or 2/10 runs) i get 2/3. It works for all maps with sabotage.

    Good luck.

  4. Hi everyone,

I've never seen the anime tv series of Evangelion, but one can easily see, in the open web, similarities between the two.

I'm interested in opinions, of people who watched the series, of how similar and/or how different the game and the anime feel.

Do you consider that Warframe's operator story is unoriginal?

Is there a copy of the deep lore from Evangelion and if so - to what extent and what impression that leaves in you?

Anything else that comes to your mind.

    Thank you.

Edit: This topic is for opinions, not disputes if one is right or not. Please have it in mind.

The Warframe servers are having a really big issue. Everyone has problems (can't do any mission, d/c-ed no matter what you do). Game is unplayable for the moment.

Yes there is an issue that causes logouts currently, but not crashes. OPs problem is about game crash.

  6. Hi there, have you tried to verify the integrity of your game files? On first look this seems like a file corruption. If you have already tried this, or it doesn't help, please provide with more information - exactly how long is your loading time, your PC specs and video driver version.
