Have anyone played on the grineer galleon and noticed how much of a old dump it is. Its old with stained cracked walls. I for one like it!
So one day while playing on one I though "wouldn't it be great if the ship had some type of wildlife, the trash bin on the imperial ships in star wars!" Then I though it would be great if the grineer galleon ships was plagued with rats! It would be funny and would add to the immersion. The rats would have to be big, veracious, and live in the airducts. They would come out and attack players, "when they least suspect it!".
^mutant monster rats.

You guys are missing the point. When did they appear and what do they mean? I am not talking about in game, I mean from the DE perspective.

I've been playing for about a year and a bit more now.
I can say that it's an awsome game, the graphics are very good and (for me at least) aesthetic and the gameplay is balanced, even if you aren't very familiar with 3rd person shooters. Generally this is and what keeps me on playing it.
But what is the target?
I still don't know. Even after 1 year i don't know what my aim is. All i do is building warframes and leveling them to get to next rank. Is that really all we can do? Is it really all that the game is about? Even if it is a Free-to-Play game i would like to see something more when it comes to story to keep more players that have the same question as me, because I see a really big potential behind Tenno's secrets and stories.
Thank you for reading my feedback
This game suppose to be about testing your stealth abilities and test your parkour abilities with obstacle course maps. But it seems the DE keep getting side tracked instead of working on the core game mechanics of the game. Now the game is half finished and people are taking these unfinished mechanics as true gameplay features ie "run & gun". You build stuff then run & gun some more then you build stuff then run and gun some more... In an endless loop.
I can admit the gameplay needs more purpose.

Could use a grenade indicator if that occurs.
1) EMP = 100% magnetic proc and drain all energy
Yes
2) Concussion = 100% knock down, movement slow by 85% for 5 seconds.
Yes.
3) Flash bang = 100% chance to blind for 5 seconds
Yes.
4) Life tap = Enemies that shoot you, go straight to your health AND heal themselves.
Yes
5) Incendiary = 100% chance to proc fire.
Yes
I don't think people would like the energy zapping. It would most likely make people mad. That why I said it would radial disarm you, or take away your ability to use your abilities for 10 seconds.

We need more fortified maps to make the snipers needed and effective. Like I said before, enemy maps and bases are not fortified enough. Their needs to be huge gates with lock down areas with turret gunners (not AI controlled). Their needs to be turret gunners sitting in fortified locations that we can only see head. There needs to be sniper towers. Maybe even large air traffic control towers that stand over long run ways. We need people to snipe! In other words "we need people we can not get to that forces us to snipe them!"
Maybe spawn ballista far off on the side of mountains on earth, that we will have to snipe! Or maybe put turret gunners on the side of mountains that we can not get to, that we will also have to snipe!
You guys need to be more creative with you maps. But for now just make the sniper rifles either one hit, or have a faster fire rate so we can swiss cheese enemies.
Most of all:
GIVE ALL SNIPER RIFLES EXTREME INNATE PUNCH-THROUGH!!! 3!!!

I suspect the Tenno were the warrior caste of the Orokin.. and the Red Veil were more an intelligence gathering caste.. or descended from one..
No, what he saying is they just appeared with the last updates.
What are they for? What do they mean? Are they tattoos? My other warframes do not have them.
What are they?

I have noticed the same thing on my Lokis back!

That´s some great rebalancing, please don´t stop here.
Sybaris, Grinlok, Marelok have to much ammo too.
That´s some great rebalancing, please don´t stop here.
Sybaris, Grinlok, Marelok have to much ammo too.
No, these dont. These weapon could use a ammo buff because you will miss a lot of shot, have low dps, and ammo type is much rarer.
-
Spectra & Flux rifle need a base damage buff or a crit buff.
Flux rifle 30 damage
Spectra 15 damage
Decrease firerate to 5
^^ gives about the same amount of dps but saves on ammo
Grinlok firerate 3
mag 12
Crit Chance 30
Snipetron firerate 5
mag 17
Crit chance 25
Vulkar firerate 2
mag 7
Crit chance 35
Vectis
Crit chance 50
Crit chance and firerate should be inversely proportional.
Magazine capacity and firerate should be directly proportional.
^^ Final Balance "well thought out"
-
Grinlok needs some love too DE
The Grinlok is like a western lever action rifle so... make it play like one!
The Grinlok should be all cowboy and nothing else!
So it needs a high firerate "as fast as you can pull the trigger," and a large magazine size.
So this how it should be
Damage: 120
Firerate: 20 "as fast as you can pull the trigger"
Magazine size: 12
Reload time: 2.0
Crit chance: 25%
Crit damage: 2x
Punch through: 0.7
This is how it should be:
^^ Dumps 12 rounds in less than 5 seconds
"Go full Cowboy!"
-
+1 for grenade indicator.
By EMP grenade you mean 100% proc magnetic?
No, read the description. It radial disarm you. So it will force you to play with your melee weapons for 10 seconds.
-
"Realistic" would have the weapon make a loud pop/crackle every time a shot's fired. Personally, I'll keep the typical sci-fi "pewpewpew"
The bolts would make the pew noise as they fly by.
-
Powerful? Yes. Fast? Only as fast as you can click the mouse which would equate to you pulling the trigger for every single round. As only 2 sniper rifles in this game are not semi-auto. Mag capacity is fine I think. You are using the Vulkar which has been the red-headed step child of sniper rifles in this game. Also you cannot compare this game to Boderlands or semi-realistic FPS. Another also: You fail to mention whether or not your Vulkar is modded. If it is then what are you running?
No, I am running no mods for the tests. Also I am running it on mercury for the tests. From what I have seen, the Vectis is a little faster because its reload is about the same as the Vulkar firerate. What made me mad about this is "whats the point of running a magazine if you are not as fast a bult action rifle." It does not make any sense! My unmodded Vectis is faster than my Vulkar. This is why I said the firerate needs to be increased to 3.0 and we need 7 rounds in the magazine.
I would like for the vulkar to be the Warframe equivalent of the XPR-50, and plese do not bring up that call of duty is bad crap! The weapons classes in that game are very balanced and well designed. There are sniper rifles for every job. From the fast low power sniper rifle to the big slow hard hitting sniper rifle. Their is a sniper rifle for every job in that game, and Warframe needs the same diversity in their sniper rifles.
-
Nope. It's a sniper rifle. Those have slow fire rates and low ammo capacities because you are prioritizing your targets.
Nope. It's a sniper rifle. Those have slow fire rates and low ammo capacities because you are prioritizing your targets. Dude have you used these rifles. They can be fast and still be sniper rifles.
Have you ever played Borderlands Battlefield or call of duty. In those game there are sniper rifles and that are plenty fast. The saddest part about this is warframe if plenty faster paced than those games. If a call of duty game have a sniper rifle with a firerate of 5 then warframe needs a sniper rifles with a firerate of 10. I am holding back by saying we need a firerate of 3 because we really need a firerate of 5.
Example.
-
My God!!!
I just played with the Vulkar.
This game is to fast paced! (Even with your buff in mind!)
We need:
3.0 Firerate
7 Magazine capacity
2 Second reload
1.2 Innate punch through
I Just ran this in a couple of capture, extermination, and survival. I was testing this gun. These are my findings. The gun is too slow, reload is too long, and the magazine capacity is too small. We need a 7 magazine capacity.
From my test runs, I have determined this gun needs to be fast, powerful and kill enemies with power and punch-through.
Ps We need visible bullet trails.

There should be a set of fired up mods for the Gorgon/Supra.
Mods
Fired Up: Accuracy "Increases the accuracy and decrease the recoil with each shot after spool up."
Fired Up: Damage 1 "Increases the base damage and status with each shot after spool up."
Fired Up: Damage 2 "Increases the base damage and decrease firerate with each shot after spool up."
Fired Up: Critical "Increases the critical chance and critical damage with each shot after spool up."
Fired Up: Firerate "Increases the firerate and ammo efficiency with each shot after spool up."

Boltor Prime 35 damage
Soma 2x crit damage
All heavy melee: 2x damage increase to compensate for the slow swings... Galatine, Hate, and etc
-
Akzani - Change to slash-heavy instead of puncture, increase proc rate
Spectra and Flux Rifle - Improve damage, proc rate, and add 'overheat' damage.
https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/235472-strun-rework-request/
What I propose, at least with the Supra, to differentiate it mechanically from the Soma and Gorgon, is to add a few of these particular properties (not all, mind you, but some). This combination of possible changes for the Supra is a conglomerate of various ideas I had pulled from the community, and some of my own.
The Super Supra
-High power capacitor-operated (I.E. Bottomless magazine with overheat function)
-RoF starts off high, but decelerates over time to reduce damage dealt to the weapon's internal systems. Becomes more accurate with sustained firing. Does not overheat to where the weapon will not fire, but DPS is hindered.
-Holding the reload button will cool the weapon off through the side vents and bring its RoF up to full speed.
-Each bolt has a tiny blast radius from which electricity can arc from about 1.2-2.4 meters.
-The plasma bolts fired from the weapon are as fast as a Dera's plasma bolts
-Damage increased overall, by about 40%
No akzani needs to stay puncture. The akstilletos or furis need to change to slash.
Overheat functions should be saved for another day! There should be weapons designed for that feature. Adding it to existing weapons not designed for it will cause a lot of problems and may potentially break what we have.

Skana... My God, its Beautiful!
It is so elegant. Its one piece of curved sharpened steel. I love the skana design. I believe it is the best looking melee weapon in this game. If it is made, it needs to have pearl effect to white part of the blade. If this blade is made I believe it would be one of the hardest blades to forge because you would not only have to get the dimension right but You would have to capture the beauty and elegance of the design. Making the skana would be like painting a picture of beautiful woman, and trying to capture her beauty.

^ Well said, son ♥
Being older doesn't only mean you's smarter, it could mean you've been stupid longer than others.
Computer Science only study physics to practice logic, that's all... [from my software engineer brother's experience]
Unless you study Construction[many many branches]-Engineer or Architecture, you won't be using much of that.
Okay, I don't know where all the personal attacks are coming from, but you guys are showing more and more ignorance. Ask the developers how important physics are in computer programming. I have been making video games since I was 15, and can tell you mathematics and physics are at the core of game programming. Heck, to be honest, I doubt if the average person could program the mathematics and physics used in sonic the hedgehog 1. The game uses a lot physics mechanic for acceleration and a lot trigonometry for sprite rotation and collision detection.
Wow, even the old 2d Mario uses a lot of physics! XD
Now lets not talk about newer 3d games like Mario galaxy, or even warframe!
The Linear algebra physics would probably make your heads spin.

Just a quick update from dev on some of the points being raised in this thread:
More work to come, you've all raised good points. The Torid will get an additional pass to bring it up to 'launcher' par. The Snipetron family will be reviewed, as well as the Miter.
As we make our way through these posts and the threads they link to, we will see what else is to come in this batch of balance passes!
DE Rebecca, I don't know if you really are a Grakata fan, but we think you are. Anyways, if so please explain to the weapons balancing team the real problem with the Grakata is not the ammo pool but the ammo pickup. The Grakata needs 2x ammo pickup. It should get two time the ammo on every pickup. This would help a lot! Thanks

I would support this if the idea were fleshed out a bit more.
I would even go so far as to say that I would personally prefer grenades being used instead of Eximus mobs. Fire wave grenades with a long fuse and a flashing HUD marker, allowing Tenno to take cover behind barriers, would be heaps better than having Arson Eximus mobs that are mowed down anyway. Electric Shield-creating grenades on short timers would do wonders for the enemy as opposed to Arctic Eximi who are a moveable annoyance requiring little challenge with an AoE weapon, but actively annul gunplay, to propose a few short examples.
Yeah, having a grenade for all that stuff would look better and be more immersive. I mean having a big fireblast or enemy-snowglobe coming out of no where reaks "Beta!" And it looks terrible too. So hmm... That's your idea "the shield grenade?" If so I will post it!

No they have not, not on the warframe atleast. They are new.
