No reward from Arbitration mission

Just completed my first Arbitration, a defense on my Mesa. Did the mission as normal, it was the same as the Hydron tile. Got to ten waves and then when the screen came up to leave or continue, it said I got no reward due to "inactivity". Yet on the next screen with the mission report, I did 24% of the damage and had the most kills in the squad (by nearly 70).  I talked to my squad mates after and they got rewards as normal. Obviously not looking to do another one if this could happen again, would just be a waste of time. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it a once off or is it a recurring bug??

That depends. How did you play the mission? Did you take one of those “activate and forget” frames? If so, then it’s probably your fault* and not a bug. 

*the AFK detector does not care about kills. Just movement/touching things.

Used Mesa as it had the 300% strength bonus. I thought about this as the reason but I moved around/rolled quite a bit cause we were defending a person, not a pod. And I ran around between the waves to collect loot from the killed enemies. I also used my 2nd and 3rd abilities on cooldown, and void dashed a number of times for Zenurik. And killed the immunity drone 3 or 4 times with my Amprex. So I cant imagine what else I would of had to do to not be AFK, hence I thought it was a bug. But if that is the reason then why even allow Mesa to get the bonus?

The AFK trigger is a bit weird sometimes. If you do not move in two minutes it gets triggered. If you can run peacemaker for 2 minutes without a break that could do it. Yes, the AFK system is seriously flawed, but there is no signs of change. 

  • It used to happen with Resonating Quake Banshee too. Until the mod got changed.

 

The frame buff is allowed because it is random. There are other frames that are worse for it, and they get the buff too.

Well then that sucks. I use Mesa's Waltz Specifically because I like more movement with my peacemaker. And I never got close to 2 minutes in peacemaker as I end it every time Shatter Shield runs out after 40ish seconds. Hope it was just a once off quirk with the timer then, as it has never happened to me before.

I would suggest if you keep encountering it in the Arbitration missions that you message support about it. If it does not happen anywhere else, and is under one minute there might be some issue with the timer. But, once or twice only is not a massive problem. Annoying, yes. But not really worth bothering support over.
