My Opinion With The Game

So I have been playing Warframe for around 3 months? It doesn't mean I haven't had the game for long I got the game some time last year and was impressed by the customization and the graphics of the game, I have revisited the game to see the new updates and to see if its worth playing. Now I don't intend on spending any real life money but all the cool stuff (Everything most likely) costs real life money and I don't intend on doing so thus making my Warframe far weaker then anybody else's who I randomly play with. Secondly the mission are very Linear and plain save this person and escort to the safe area hack some controls progress kill some enemy's get some items which I have no use for oh sweet my weapons have leveled up what does that even mean I don't know? But I asked a few of my friends why they don't play it and they all said the same things It feels more like a play to win game all the cool stuff you have to pay and not enough intresting things to start with the mission are similar. Now the other month I had a Boss battle which was fricking epic now Am not very far in the game but does it get any better? I have a Frost Warframe Blue print and so far have no parts for it does the parts cost real money? When will I get the parts in game for free? To me it does'nt give enough resources as a Free to play player. Am not hating the game in any way I am sticking to it as the mechanics in the game are insane I mean Ninja double pistol holding futuristic sword jiggling warriors I mean you can;t complain? But does it get any better? I think am on my Second planet now (Noob) and would like some feedback if everything I have said above is wrong and I should give myself a wedgy and carry on playing the game because I'd like the wedgy and carry on playing the game to know I was wrong and be amazed at the stuff in game I have acquired.

You're not wrong about the linear missions, or boring missions, but you ARE wrong about the P2W, all of the orokin catalysts (doubles your mod capacity of a weapon) or reactors (doubles mod capacity of warframes) can be found over time (or after a live stream which is once every other week I think).

As for when things level up, that increases how many mod points they can get, which increases how many mods you can put on a weapon. (with a catalyst/reactor (commonly called potatoes) doubling the amount of points you have on a weapon/warframe)

And some white space (like in this post) would be much appreciated, otherwise it looks like one giant run on sentence.

I've been playing almost 800 hours, since three days after Warframe hit Open Beta. I have All the frames, All Potato'd, All Forma'd at least once, and two of them Forma'd three times. I have about 35 weapons, all Max'd except the ones im using at the moment, also all with a Potato and most with a Forma. Im in the top 700 of the Leaderboards, and in an awesome clan. Know how much real money i spent for all of that? Less than 20 bucks. The ONLY thing you ever have to buy in this game, other than random Cosmetic stuff, are Slots for weapons and Warframes. Thats really it. The fun is in getting the rest of it the old fashioned way, Working for it.

What kinds of things exactly do you want to get out of this game? I mean, What can it do to "get better" over time?

Still doesnt make any sense.

First and foremost, welcome back to Warframe, and congratulations on your first post.

I understand your feeling that it feels like another pay to win game. However, it is to the contrary.

As with other games, Warframe is also a game which needs commitment and some luck to obtain the things in the game.

Sure, collecting three parts, farming for resources to craft them, then waiting for another 3 days for your Warframe to be ready sounds like a daunting task, but it is not as difficult as you think it is ^_^

The problem is that this game is not very friendly to beginners. You may need the assistance of helpful veterans, who are sadly a dwindling race of Tenno....

What is your timezone? if I am capable and am free, I might be able to render my assistance.

Never mind all the hate that you just stirred above. This is due to the forums being filled with all sorts of useless ranting threads on a daily basis. I am not surprised that they are getting really irritated.

-Edit-

Spellchecked. I hate auto-correct on Iphones.

more words... yo

agreed.

there is not much that is user friendly in warframe atm, and newbies are put in a bad place due to it.

and as "good guy" x3e said, helpful vets are few and far between. problem comes in with the fact that the few people who are helpful, get so bogged down by the same question/problem over and over and over, that they just get tired and stop.

Just as Evan said, this game does require luck and time since it is pretty much based on a RNG (random number generator) to determine what you get, where you get it, and how much of it you will get.

Putting money into the game will get your the finer things faster, there is no denying that. But with some patience you can get ALMOST everything you want. Alerts will yield a large number of weapons, helmets, resources, ect you can use. All which are free! You just need to keep track of it here

or on the forums.

Things are working out and your feedback on the game is very important.

I remade my account once and I saw how unfriendly it could be for new players. I knew what to do but alot of it requires looking up stuff  in the Wiki, watching videos, and just a bunch of stuff you wouldnt think you would need just to get started which I hope is being looked into extensively.

So do not lose hope!

As in do you get to actually purchase more warframes without using platinum (Real money) same goes with swords axes pistols etc etc

Everything currently a non-exclusive in the game is obtainable by farming it. Everything.

The only things you will ever have to pay for with Plat, are Slots for the weapons and frames. And thats only if you want to have all of them at the same time. So if you spend like 15 bucks, you never have to spend anything else, You work for what you want instead.

Welcome!

It doesn't get any better. It's fairly linear and repetitive. We all play because there are things that shine and because it has the potential to become a great game. The Devs have also discussed how they know they should make things more user friendly for newcomers, as the newer players don't know they can get items like Reactors for free. Their tutorial is also lacking. They've realized this, but they have other things in mind. Stick around for awhile. Play with friends. Have fun.
