Had you started the quest prior to buying the frame? At one point (might be the same now) you only got something if you had not started the quest at time of purchase. It is also worth noting that not all quests would give a riven if the player purchased the respective frame. I believe that Gara was the first. Which means you should not get a riven for Nidus. So, I would suggest you find an official (i.e. DE) source that says you should have got one. Because I do not believe you should have. Without an official source, you can do nothing.
