VegetableBasket
This little blip sound has some very high frequencies which make my head hurt. Consider using a low pass filter to cut everything above the 8k-10k range (though it sounds a bit more like 16k-20k) because this sound is killing me. I have Plantronics 780 headphones which are very popular so I'm sure I'm not the only one noticing this (although I do audio production so I might be more keen to this kind of thing)Thanks. Exo594
I'm sensitive to hypersonics as well, and I can say that the blip hurts. Why was that put in in the first place?
CY13ERPUNK
im almost positive this is a bug but it's REALLY ANNOYING that it hasn't been addressed yet
VegetableBasket
im almost positive this is a bug but it's REALLY ANNOYING that it hasn't been addressed yet While I don't work for DE's audio team, I don't really think it's possible for that to be a bug, it's just that the sound hasn't been processed in a manner most audio is. It just may have been rushed into the game and not given much polish, or it might be placeholder, etc, but I think by calling it a bug you imply the game engine is malfunctioning and causing the sound to be annoying, when really, the sound itself is annoying. Does that make sense? Maybe I am ranting too long about this.
[DE]George
We will be updating the sound in a future update.
