Volt electric shield

I wanted to ask how the shield of volt is working, i was in a random survival and someone bringed volt and put his shield in front of me, and when i shot in it, i made something like more than 2millions damage in a single shot. Was really impressed so wanted to try with my volt in the simulacrum but my shield isn't doing any damage buff, so if someone could explain how does this work and what type of build i should have to do that

it buffs crit damage by 200% (i think) and gives you +50% electric damage

not really sure about this, im not a volt expert

Volts shields buffs crit attacks including amp ones, and more shields=more lightning  damage iirc, which is why he's in the Eidolon hunting meta. For exact numbers I'd suggest you check the wiki though

You can stack up to five shields as well though it doesn’t affect all stats...
