Plains update ruined dojo / orbiter lighting

I took this comparison of my orbiter when the plains update dropped, but didn't notice the dojo changes immediately. 

This part of my dojo used to be very dark, almost entirely in shadow.

This canopy also used to be nicely shadowed, and those glass panels in the circular parts used to only turn that orange colour under specific lighting colours. Now they remain orange no matter what colours i change the lights to. When the plains update dropped the waterfalls also became solid white as seen here, but were soon patched back to what they are now as seen in my second screenshot.

It seems like nothing in dojos casts shadows, and it looks terrible. I just spent the last couple months decorating my dojo only for it to turn ugly. pls fix.

update: Settings > Display, Toggle dynamic lighting off/on makes shadows re-appear, but this has to be done every time you enter the dojo.
