Sudden Performance Tank

Ever since this morning, Warframe has abruptly become unplayable. It spends about 15 minutes on the loading screen when it used to spend at most 30 seconds, and the game itself suddenly has an FPS of about 0.4 as opposed to having a comfortable 60-ish. It took about eight minutes to get past the login menu and navigate to the display settings, at which point I found that nothing appeared to be different from how I'd had it set up before.

I've tried verifying and optimizing my cache, but no luck. I'm having to completely redownload the game and hope it runs next time around, which leaves a sour taste in my mouth after having gotten to play it only a week since I installed it last.

If you are on a laptop, check that it didn't somehow get assigned to the integrated GPU instead of the actual GPU.
