Is it instant damage or DoTs?

 

The Wiki says DoTs but it does instant, so I am confused.

It depends on the health pool of the enemy. If the enemy has low health, it is basically instant. If health is higher, like on high level Ancients, it does damage over time.

That just means you need to fight higher level mobs. It's DoT ;)

I noticed this now.

 

I'm assuming the first tick is instant damage, but if there's a higher pool it keeps ticking until they die.

Another question : can it stack on enemies if you keep recasting it?

It's just DoT. The first tick does 250 or 325 damage with Focus which is enough to kill many light units, which makes it seem like instant damage. There's also an bug with DoT and client lag/FPS drops (undetermined what the cause is) where they double tick each second (sometimes but rarely even triple tick), and then you're looking at 500 or 650 damage with Focus within the first second.

 

It can stack, yes.

Weak for doing strong damage instantly, but good/better if all the DoTs are used it seems.
