its kinda sad to see such an interesting and unique game mode that fits so perfectly with the game end up in such a disapoining way due to the extra amount of grind required. in many ways its so close to perfection but i cant help but sigh at how close to the finishing line it stumbled.

the big problem is that, the game mode is intended to be a fun party, where players join to try and kill as many enemies as possible, however, the results are just short due to one short sighted decision, while, logical, is still missing something to get there.

as many others probably have already pointed out, the solution is pretty simple, hitting an enemy should reward his pearl when that enemy dies. that way, the team would be able to focus on killing as many enemies as fast as possible, instead of worrying about kill stealling from one another.

similarly, this game mode could very well gain a "conclave" variant, as it is balanced, and would work perfectly fine with both team deathmatch and free for all.

on a side note, there could be a more competitive mode as well, where players pay 50 pearls to compete with other players to see who kills the target(a single much stronger and harder to kill enemy). winner takes all(200 from the collective entrance fee + 100 from the boss), meanwhile losers take nothing, if the timer runs out and the boss is still alive, nobody wins.

finally, while the squirt gun is fun, we could make use of a few other weapons as well:

shotgun         - more powerfull but requiring a closer range and has a much slower pump, requires being pumped before each shot.
gattling gun   - fastest fire rate, highest capacity, cant be pumped.
single pistol   - slower fire rate than the rifle, but much more accurate and best drop off. cant be pumped.
double pistol  - faster than the single pistol, but cant "fine aim", first button shoots one gun, aim button shoots the other, cant be pumped.
water balloon - deals big area damage(closer to the center means higher damage as well), but have the lowest amount of ammo, requiring much more constant recharging.
