Obviously, the XB1X (and maybe the PS4Pro) might benefit from this, but I don't see it happening until we have a full console generation capable of handling 4K reliably to some degree. Even then I'm not sure how much of penetration the console market really has into 4K TVs. When you look at Steam survey statistics, you see a shocking amount of PC players still on what are essentially toasters (a lot are probably laptops, but still...). Of course, 4K is rough stuff to drive and the monitors available are either largely crap or horrifically expensive. I'd love to see it, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
