K-Drive Race locations

When I spawn into Orb Vallis (from the elevator) I get a pink K-drive icon on my mini-map directly behind the building, but when I go over there it disappears.  the K-Pod races are not on the large map (M button) so I end up spending a lot of time flying around looking for these races on my mini map.  Just seems like there should be a better solution to this, why cant the K-drive races be marked on the large map?  At this time they are not marked on any map unless you fly directly above them, then they show up on the mini-map.  Not really a bug or glitch, but something I think should be fixed.  I enjoy the new content but not when I have to spend so much time looking for the races.
