Zebiko Posted November 1, 2019 Share Posted November 1, 2019 We have so many different mission types, and every time a new one is added, the player base is further separated into more and more different missions, leaving the older content desolate. It's like adding extra difficulty levels in the form of special missions. Most don't like the idea of difficulty levels for missions because that would segregate the player base more. Not all of these need to be changed, but many should be integrated in to the regular missions (no separate choices) and have the mission type spawn in like the assassins or hit squads do in missions. The special mission list, in no particular order, is: 1) Nightmare (Each planet gets their own loot table of nightmare mods, add in more new nightmare mods to fill tables, and the mission type modifies the regular mission with the random debuffs instead of making a new instance. This starts happening after all the nodes on a planet are done and the junction boss defeated. Host determines the spawn of these, in case you are playing with someone that hasn't completed the planet nodes) 2) Syndicate Reputation (spawn in medallions, gives extra reputation with an extra objective. These can completed without doing the extra objective) 3) Invasions (These become true invasions, where another faction spawns into the mission and you have to complete an extra objective. The extra object can be ignored and the boss infested boss fight can be a special mission) 4) Void Fissures (These spawn in like they do now, but replace the normal mission for the time it's active. They don't spawn in until all the planet's nodes are completed, and a node junction needs to have new players complete a planet before proceeding, because Ceres junction on Mars has a relic requirement, aka needs adjusting) 5) Sortie (probably don't change) 6) Kuva Siphon and Flood (They spawn in like void fissures, but you don't know where, only indication is the nearby kuva fortress and a visible cone of influence pointing at a planet, so trial and error and random encounter as the Worm's dialog suggests. They only starts spawning when the kuva fortress shows up) 7) Kuva Lich (Spawn, like how hit squads do, in the blood affected area shown on the map, shows up when you activate a lich) 😎 Special Alerts (Clem, Maroo, Gift of the Lotus. Some players may not have unlocked said special missions and would either be put into content they haven't been introduced to yet or the game would matchmake it the same as it is now.
