Lunaro: Client bug

Lunaro is an absolutely fun gamemode. Most people doesnt care about it because they are scared from the conclave. I was so happy when it first introduced, it was a nice change for the game, not just killing mindless mobs, or get massacared by conclave maniacs in pvp, but this game mode was fun, enjoyable, and more team centric. Sadly the community ignores it, and even if they play it a little, when they are meeting with a old timer like tukan and me, they almost evrytime get uninterested because of skill level difference. none of them thing about it, how or why we got there, why we still want to enjoy that gamemode. I cant really recall any MMO that gives this much fun to players (not just lunaro, but thats a big plus that i didnt see anywhere else). The thing i dont understand is, that why people doesnt play it for fun. thats the meaning of game. Not the farmin, not the "who has the most outrageous, one-hit eidolon rifle", just have fun. Luaro doesnt give you too much reward indeed, but it gives you something else: a fun, easy-to learn-hard to master gamemode, where you can get friends, rivals, and an enjoyable atmosphere. I remember times when we played throught the whole day only with lunaro 3v3. It was Fun, and in my honest opinion it was worth it. Its just sad to see the chainreaction of the players dont care about it then the devs also arent, then because of that bugs remain, and new players cant exprerience it in its full bloom, so they dont care about it either and so on... We even played with theese bugs, we laughed all the time. Half times from desperation of the impposible bugs, half time because even in top of that hell of a lot bug we could enjoy the gamemode.
Maybe we arent many, but its not because the game mode was a "mistake", but because the always remaining bugs makeing it less enjoyable for players, and also, because somehow the community is too much focused on ingame rewards, and belives the bad-talk about a gamemode but dont belive the good points. I agree with that, its not enjoyable for evryone, just like warframe itself, or any game is not for evryone. But if you doesnt even try mastering it, you will never know if its fun or not for you. We have a discord channel, with pro players who happly teach newcommers even for the most advanced tactics, so you dont have to do it alone, just give it a chance.
For the bugs, i agree, its nearly immpossible to play now, the host has too much advantage, a pro can win in 2v1 against two pro if he is hosting with little effort. So i too will be happy if the devs could spare some time for fixis theese trivial bugs. i dont know the programming mechanics, but i cant see why it should takes soo much time. Well, i hope someday the lunaro will be revived and enjoyed to its fullest, as the devs back them wanted to it. (you players made it a "mistake", so you dont have any rights to call it that way. its like when someone gives you a gift toy, you drop it out in front of them, then blaming them because you didint get what you wanted...)

Lunaro is a best gamemode in Warframe especially for those who tired from farming and killing extremely stupid mobs. It is the best gamemode for endame players who wait for new content and want to enjoy the game not just collect weapons items and etc most of which are useless but just for uppering Mastery Rank.
In addition it is the most balanced PvP game because there you dont have to find "the best weapon" you dont have to (and again) farm specialised mods for conclave only. Everyone is in the same conditions... Well that was the idea but again it isnt ONLY because the DEvelopers dont do their job the part of which is FIXING THE BUGS that have broken the game
The main of them are:
1. unlaunchable unstable for clients
2. the ball goes sideways when barely throwing

i agree with that. i know some forum members will say "DE has more than 26 million registered lo...ahh..users, so they have to focus on their expectations instead of a dead gamemode", but...but... we also part of that communiy, lunaro aslo part of their game, so i just dont get why are their doesnt want to make it shine. its unique gamemode. Maybe there are games that almost alike this, but dont forget, this is a plus, an additional gamemode to an already very versatile game. You can have a resting,  fun time if you tired by the grinding, you can have a different experience wihtout leaving the game. In lunaro evryhing is about skill, practice and effort, not like in most pvp games, where when you have bigger guns you are winning no matter what your skills are.

For some reason i consider myself a prodigy, because under the Where is Update 26 thread i made the following comment:

idk why i made this comment back then, but melee change not only introduced this bug, but also introduced several more even more broken bugs, like messed stance, not being able to make any action in air, annihilation imbalance with "lifted" status, that currently has been introduced to 3 zaw strikes (afaik in one of the recent hotfixes/updates).

I know you - DE can fix it, because you already fixed the stances which made it at least playable as well as air actions, but imbalance that this unstable bug introduced, give me an advantage of "+1 skill tier" (at least, and removes an option for interesting play on client) against an oponent on the same skill level as i am. Only very experienced lunaro players are able to play against a host that can abuse this situation, and instead of giving equal chance for clients, you decide to be silent on this one, as well as imbalances that got introduced into annihilation side of the conclave in the first place.

If you don't want unstables in this game mode, it will remove the extra amount of skill-reward aspect of the mode. To anyone that says "this doesn't affect their playstyle", or "i didn't like unstables because they can't be defended" or something like that, people were able to successfuly adapt to other people that made unstables long ago. To reflect such shot was not an issue with some time played in this mode, and was also part of this "skill-reward" mechanism i mentioned earlier.

There are other bugs with lunaro, the most common being ball force-launching to the right when aiming at ground after a single jump, annoying the most when playing as host. There are also other bugs, like for example a client player being in two different places AKA de-syncing with other players, where he/she sees him/herself being in totaly different spot of the arena than he really is in the view of other players.

There is also the "ballkeeper bug" which happens when a player somehow manages to lose his arcata and catch the ball, results of such shown below:

The latter two are rare ones and we aren't able to replicate this to even give a hint what causes this 100%, or if there are clear prequisites for that. The only thing would be to record every single match everyone is playing in hope for those to happpen.

  • 1 month later...

Lunaro is a such fun gamemode before melee 3.0, although there are few bugs before that update, but we still get a lot of happiness from that.

As tukan and neuro recorded there are few fateful bugs appears recent months. That causes lunaro changed into a dead mode, newbies may think that bugs as theoriginal rules of the game. Please pay attention on these conclave modes while focusing on pve bugs. Hope DE could attaches great importance to the pvp modes rather than pve.
