Railjack’s speed can only go so far, but can’t make it to 500 m/s

When ever going online and checking there engines speed I see 375 m/s to 500 m/s, but the top speed mine can go to is 117 m/s. Am I missing something or did I never got a guide on how to increase Railjack’s engine speed.

Unless I'm misunderstanding, you have to get engine salvage drops or clan research engines to increase your railjack speed, the salvage you get from actual missions vary with random stats whereas the researched ones give you a base upgrade, decent for starter ships and relatively cheap to get started early on.  Your ship doesn't passively get faster as you go, you have to actually do work to it and progress your pieces added to it.  Again, apologies if you meant something else, and good luck.

Already tried that but can’t make the base speed any higher then I want to. Or is it bugged.

Max base speed you can get at the moment ( that is, not boosting ), is 248m/s.

This is with the engines that have best base speed ( maxed Vidar MK3 with +60m/s ), plus maxed Conic Nozzle avionics ( +25.6% ).

You can further raise that to a total of 368m/s by using a maxed Cruising Speed avionics ( +80% speed ), but that only works if no enemies are within 3000m.
