buttons not working

i dont know why this is but my button for changing abilities right on the dpad wont work at all , it works in other games and left on the dpad works ive restarted my console and even uninstalled and reinstalled the game and it still wont work at all and i dont know what else to do i even downloaded an app to test my controller and my controller works fine something in the game is what bugged and its been bugged for me for days now not stopping

Just checking, because you didn't mention it - did you try resetting (and then reconfiguring) your controls?

I vaguely remember something changing about the "Right on D-Pad" functionality changing on controllers from the patch notes,
this issue might stem from that, and resetting (if not straight-up deleting the file containing) your configuration has worked for similar things in the past.
