Op Weaps Only Obtainable Through Platinum

I'll be the first to admit, there are some weapons that are just plain OP(on low level >50 missions), but having some weapons obtainable only through platinum would break this game and end the awesome thing DE has going on.

 

Platinum only weapons would make this game Pay-To-Win. Try doing Outer Terminus with Excalibur, MK-1 Braton, Lato and Skana. You'll go down at least once before wave 5 and you'll be out of ammo by wave 10. The fact that all weapons excluding event and Founders weapons can be crafted in the foundry for credits means that if you are willing to put in the work, even you can get Soma, Galatine, Orthos Prime and Supra.

 

I will admit that I have bought Platinum. I only use it for slots and the occasional potato and weapon slots.

this is a Free-To-Play game, if anything platinum is only here for Frame/Weapons slots, reactors/catalysts

platinum is only here for impatient people who can't wait 12/24 hours for weapons/parts or farming a boss for a Warframe

 

i say the game is perfect the way it is (in terms of how money is used in it)

the game itself is a whole other story.

Nonono, orig. poster means he/she wants every OP weapon to be ONLY obtainable through platinum.

 

This is because the op sees too many overpowered weapons in-game and is... annoyed/mad/tased or w/e, and thinks DE will profit off of this...

 

The actual problem is that there is no point in farming high level missions over low level missions since the drop rate of rare mats/mods etc do not scale with levels(I think). Only rewards in defense and survival(?) scale with the enemy level, thus outside of farming the reward table(void keys, banshee parts, ammo mutation mods), high level players are ruining the game for those in low level public solo missions.

You're about three months behind good sir.

Drops (materials, mods, ect) do indeed scale with level in both quality and quantity. It's been that way for quite a while now.

I've seen too many OP weaps and I can't hold it no more.If OP weaps are only obtainable thru plat,there will be less OP weaps being used by players .This will also mean income for the DE .(i posted this coz i feel very sorry for DE to give out 50 plat for everyone )

 

 

 

Any thoughts?

Name me some or at least one of those weapons obtainable only by platinum...

Except then we would have people complaining "Pay 2 Win".

 

The beauty of the current model is, excluding event weapons like the Strun Wraith or Snipe Vandal, you can get any weapon in the game through blueprints and grinding and research. See a person using a weapon you like? Chances are you can get that weapon too. OP doesn't really matter if everyone can use the OP weapon. Then it just becomes "normal".

 

Besides, at the high end of the level content, you pretty much need the OP weapons if you want to be competitive at all. So they pretty much balance out at the endgame level.

Why in the world would anyone want this idea? Pay to win models are never good for online F2P games.

 

The issue is with the armor system and the weapon itself, not the game's F2P model

I'd rather see another annoying "nerf OP weapon" thread than a "turn this game into a pay to win game" thread

Oh... I didn't really see a difference between farming low levels and farming high levels, but maybe I need better armor ignoring weapons to kill those high level enemies more quickly. Nice to know though.
