Lavos Vial Rush behaving incorrectly when ending [Update 30.9]

Since the 30.9 update, the end of Lavos' Vial Rush is not immediately producing the radial explosion and wave of all remaining vials when ending, and especially upon cancel.

 

Prior to update (expected behaviour):
On end of cast or manual cancel, immediate radial explosion and disbursement of all unthrown vials in a generous arc around player entity.

Post update (current behaviour): 
On end of fully complete dash, very minor delay exists before radial explosion occurs and final vials are disbursed sparsely around player. 
On manual cancel, SIGNIFICANT delay exists depending on earliness of cancel input, while most remaining vials appear to be disbursed on player position (as if still creating trail), with the delayed radial explosion then disbursing the same sparse quantity of vials in the arc as a fully-elapsed dash.

 

The delay greatly interferes with both placement (as you can continue to travel before explosion occurs) and coverage (as you cannot disburse a dense field of vials by cancelling early), making Vial Rush far clunkier and less useful.
