Remove The Secondary Fire Mode For Tigris

I like it. If one shot kills an enemy (which in my case, it always does), I can always quickly switch to another nearby enemy and damage that one.

And even quicker, you can let it reload and shoot them both with 2 shots(and preferably have seeker for another 2 behind the first one).

Not to mention, if you're going to use your double barreled shotgun that way, your'e better off using Latron. Sidearms are here for handling multiple weaker enemies.

This is beside the point however as current mechanic is just asking for people to use mouse macros that "press and release" the button, for optimal weapon usage.

I say it does a double barrel perfectly, considering we don't have Killing Floor's secondary fire option (In which it's mouse 1 to fire one barrel, mouse 3 for both, and you can still aim.)

As for that "click and release" macro...really? You think people macro for that? Tapping the mouse leads to a double shot that is near-instant. And being able to hold it is great.

is this really your biggest problem with the tigris? not the S#&$ty reload time and the aweful cone of fire and pellet count. the weapon needs a buff on the more conventional standing .right now its just a novelty item that does half the dps of a hec with is supposedly its armor piercing counterpart.

Remove the aim aspect (it's a freaking shotgun), make the primary fire one click per shot, make the aim button dump both barrels into the enemy.

either this, or making it click once only shoot one shell, and holding it shoot both.

currently, it´t counter intuitive.

usually holding the button makes a gun shoot with more power, not backwards

The Tigris, while perhaps not the best weapon, is a lot of fun to use and one of the most aesthetically pleasing guns in the game. The unique trigger type is part of what makes it so enjoyable - allowing for two different firing methods and an interesting control interaction with them. I really like it, and would be very disappointed if it's firing method was 'standardised' as suggested in the OP.

It's a hokey mechanic, why not just make the thing semi-auto with a firing delay that's as fast as you can double-click? "Holding" the second shot, while it can be effective, is an odd mechanic which--as others have said--is at odds with how the rest of the guns work. Innovations are fine but at the end of the day you need a certain degree of uniformity in function, not novelty.

And the way it is now is very functional.

"semi-auto with a firing delay as fast as you can click"?

That's when you get a problem with macros, and the current reason why the Twin Gremlin are better than the Akbolto.
