void relic matchmaking

I just tried opening a void relic, I joined a meso exterminate mission and it threw me into a group that was already finished and due to the nature of the visures once they extracted I was also forcibly extracted without even having the oppurtunity to collect the reagent, which cost me one of the two radiant meso s12 relics I had, which I want to remind you were recently vaulted.

Edit: after reopening the game I noticed I had two again, not sure how, if it was someone here, thanks

If not enough reactant is collected, no relic is spent.

That's the way it's supposed to work anyway.  I've occasionally seen complaints of this not being the case, but never experienced it myself that I know of.
