Nonexistenz
Tldr: Shieldgating calculations not working in reality Hi all, Data Frame: Grendel Prime(level 0, but shouldn't matter for him) Enemie: Heavy Gunner level120 SP in Simulacrum Aura: Energy Siphon Mods: Catalyzing Shields, Fortitude, Fast Deflection, Vigilante Vigor Arcana: Arcane Nullifier, Arcane Fury Formula Used: (15+0,05x(95*0,2))x(1+(1+0,9+0,6))= 55,825 shield regen/sec 55,825*0,33=18,42225 Shield regen in 0,33sec. Recharge delay reduction reduced by 75% though mentioned mods. Normally=4sec, Modded=1sec Shield gate immunity duration=1,33sec In conclusion There should be a 0.33sec time window where the shield starts charging while the immunity is still active. it would take 0,340349sec for the 19 shield points to fully recharge with the 55,825shield/sec regen rate. Guesswork: If the first regen tick is at 1.01 after shield depletion and it takes 0.35sec (rounded up) to actually fully recharge (at 1.36sec after depletion). We would have a 0.03sec of non-immune state every 1.33sec. So 2,205% from the total 1.36sec timeframe. But somehow it still doesn't feel like it, there seems to be a way bigger timeframe where the enemie can hit grendel and thus make it the "partly charged shield" depletion thingy effect rather then the "fully charged shield" depletion effect. What is going on? Error through rounding from the game, server tickrate, wrong formula????? With friendly regards, Asif Edited April 29 by Nonexistenz
drnlmza
Shield only start naturally recharging if you've not been hit for the recharge delay period. Being shot while in the gating period still counts for the purposes of the recharge delay, even though it doesn't deal any damage to your health. It isn't going to work if you just stand there tanking hits. Edited to add: You can easily demonstrate this with a CC ability - CC the enemies as soon as your shield breaks, and it will start recharging as expected. Allow the enemies to keep firing, and it won't. Edited April 30 by drnlmza Added details
Darvahoya
No, I think Nonexistenz is right. I just noticed the same glitch in SP circuit even though I was dealing constant melee red crits during the gating period. Something is causing it to get knocked back out too soon.
