We Want The Old "quick Thinking" Back

As the title suggests... this is a complaint.The mod itself is very hard to obtain for starters and now you've decided to nerf it by not letting it function in conjunction with rage anymore not to mention that it has become a one time, few hundred hp boost mods that leaves you staggering indefinitely? It's a pain in the &#! to buy even and was heaps of fun but this nerf ruined everything and it isn't even as OP as most people think. People were just invincible if they lagged or if they didn't take enough damage in a short period because DE has somehow screwed up the mechanics. To all quick thinking + rage combo users out there, have you noticed that your health was getting lower and lower right after the old quick thinking kicked in, but before you actually will get downed, your health just pops back up? Great job DE. I hope this "fix" isn't a little cover up or poor excuse that you couldn't implement the right mechanics... CHANGE IT BACK!

I would suggest not changing it ALL the way back, nerf QT to roughly 200% and it'd work fine, but it wouldn't be seen as the "OMFG GOD MODE WTFBBQ!" Some people see it as. (but yes, +1)

I'd agree with you but another reason to keep quick thinking as it is was because for a game like warframe, things will become more and more OP so the veteran players like us linger around a lil longer yet to have this mod nerfed so much... Just what is DE thinking? Same thing with releasing a rank 3 mastery Soma which did everything the supra did but much better before nerf...

Me too, I've never managed to get QT :P

 

I have a lot of spare Rage oddly, which still works pretty well.

Technically you are supporting my argument :P. It is suuuuuuuch a $#*(@ to get after all so it made sense to be how rewarding it previously was. Now it's just junk. It's now more like a one time few hundred hp boost.

DE: Hmm people seem to rely on Redirection+Vigor, it only improves survivability, I wonder why. Oh you silly people!

*DE makes a new system that ruins shield mods, releases tons of new mods to somehow make up for it*

 

DE: Hmhm now people seem to use this silly combo called Rage+QT which eventually leaves you in an indefinite stunlocked state rather than 'indefinite invulnerability'. Don't they know, you're supposed to die in Warframe! And very often!

*DE nerfs the poop out of it*

 

Soon, the common folk with use and rely on another mod combo, it will become popular, and will be "balanced" consequently whilst the dodgy enemy AI and imbalanced/underpowered warframes remains as it is. :P

DE: Hmmmm... the newbies need a good gun to use. I'm out of ideas. Screw it, add in the Soma. Make it the best weapon in its category by far as well as give it a mastery rank prerequisite of 3.

 

Soma got a nerf as well.

Actually, now your supporting my argument: If a mod is so powerfull that your saying it was a "must have", regardless of how hard it was to obtain, it was overpowered.

Are you trying to tell me that it's a necessity in an rpg game to have everything completely balanced, solely based on effectivity? Seriously... why are you even playing warframe?

Then so is redirection, or flow, or serration, or hornet strike. They're all pretty much "must haves".

Redirection and Flow aren't needed, and the same goes for quickthinking + rage combo.

I honestly now pity you... You've spent $250 bucks on Warframe... don't even value it for the game it is- an rpg action, sci-fi shooter- and desire a "balanced" game. Well lemme break it to you. Balancing is opinionated. Thats right. Not only would attempting to balance Warframe ruin the game completely and utterly but your idea of being "balanced" will never be achieved. Oh and also... you're opposing my argument which has no effect on you because you don't own quick thinking? Where's the justification in that? Honestly... everyone viewing this post right now... can you believe this guy?

DE is running the numbers... and apparently only the numbers.

 

This game was supposed to be fun, and part of the fun in most games are the quirky combos that work well, but have eventual downsides. All games have something of the like. There's no such thing as a completely balanced game.

 

As things are now, it's just: "Let's nerf this. Oh! Nerf that, too. Oh no player, you can't have your fun here. Everything has to be "balanced"." Seriously though, it's a friggin PVE game. If it was competitive PVP, I'd understand.

 

And what about the "We aren't going that route of Platinum trading. That ruins games." Then, subsequently releasing the brand new trading system with unlimited plat trade. Then realizing that being able to trade QT/Rage means that everyone is suddenly running the combo, and all other "OP" combos.

 

What they really need to do is fix the bugs and make the crappy guns more fun to use! By crapping on the stuff that people have already used and enjoyed for such a long time, they're slapping the player base.
