Multron only shoots three times before reloading, regardless of how much magazine it has

I threw Magazine Warp (+30%) and Tainted Mag (+66%) and Wildfire (+20%) into the Multron, expanding its magazine to 6, yet my companion still only shoots 3 rounds before reloading.

Note: I've seen it actually work properly once while I was moving mods around, but on going back to the arsenal again it went back to only firing 3 times.

Tested in the simulacrum.
