Is it a bug that blitz eximus' ability hits multiple times?

When you receive blitz eximus' ability, Adaptation will be activated 8 times and you will receive heavy damage.

I feel like acolyte has a similar ability and deals a lot of damage as well.

Acolyte's ability is probably an ice wave of violence.

No idea if it's a bug, but it's been that way for a long time.  There was a 1hK bug with it too, which I think is fixed.  Or at least I haven't been killed by it for a long time.   But it can definitely still kill pets instantly through their shield gate unless that's been fixed very recently.

Bugs or possible bugs aside, I think it's at least roughly balanced.  It's well telegraphed, limited area, and easy to avoid if I see the tell or hear it.
