Penta Ammo Capacity

Really, DE? Really? A grenade launcher that has the ammo capacity of a light machine gun? And here I was hoping that the Ogris/Torid absurd ammo situation was an oversight about to get fixed, but nope.

I guess infinite ammo, AoE weapons are a-okay, eh?

and when they nerf it drastically are you gonna complain that there is not enough ammo?

Of course I am not, I am clearly in favor of a nerf.

You'd prefer if every weapon had horrid ammo economy?

I prefer it to find a middle-ground. An AoE weapon should not carry as many grenades/rockets as an LMG can carry bullets. It is obviously very imbalanced.

I prefer the term "fix". There is definitely something wrong with it.

You have weapons like the Penta/Ogris which essentially have infinite ammo.

Then you have the Paris/Cernos/Dread/Miter which are nowhere near powerful enough to warrant such a poor ammo economy.

man ppl whine about the most inane things

How is it "inane"? It makes these weapons ridiculously powerful.

Compare how much mayhem you get per Ogris rocket or Penta grenade vs. per arrow from any of the longbows.

It is rather silly.

edit: forgot how to read for a few minutes.

i support this. give it a 15-20 round max ammo pool for the amount of damage it puts out+ammo mutation mods(now easily attainable through survival) means you MIGHT run out of ammo sometime never, but you wont have 536 "grenades" you never use.

I love the Penta, believe I really do, but even I have to admit that drawing from the rifle pool is ridiculous for what is essentially the Son of Ogris. I think it's high time both either got moved to the sniper pool, or maybe even get their own ammo pool.

EDIT: I love how everyone assumes giving these guns less ammo is going to utterly destroy them. My single target sniper rifles with 72 measly shots would like to have a word with you.

this i can agree with. there needs to be specialized ammo pools because idk how the hell one uses rifle bullets in a grenade launcher >.>

When you consider that the max ammo capacity is 540, if it were even sniper ammo type do you think that you'd really go through the ammo?  You can do a lot with 5 grenades, so I feel no matter what ammo launcher weapons in general drew from, it wouldn't be any issue whatsoever.

Agreed.

Lowering it to 70-80 to match the other "specialist" weapons would not hurt any of these (Penta, Ogris & Torid) when you consider what one single round of these weapons can do.

infested are paper. Also, don't both these weapons damage the user? (Personal Note: LMGs should have innate punch-through, bring this up later) Why not buff the ammo economy on the many weapons I would personally never touch because they're annoying and a hassle.

SLOW DOWN. Torid is my best weapon and your mistaken. One of torid's biggest advantages lies in cloud stacking which means it must use ammo as fast as possible. Penta and Ogris are much different from the torid.

infinite ammo hmm, so explain to us .                                                                                                                                                                                       what is the difference between ammo mutation and infinite ammo ?

Easy.

One takes up precious mod capacity/slots, the other is a freebie as a result of poor design.

:)
