TrashSpider
Just like the title implied. What would be your version of the secondary function of the warframe arsenal? However it must have a drawback. Ex: Dera: launches a pulse grenade that deal magnetic damage at the price of half of your ammunition clip. Penta: Throw your whole clip of grenades for 5x the damage Ogris: Has a lock on feature, but deal less damage. What would be yours?
RoboDoge
Embolits, use it to bit of face of Desert Skates at the full clip cost.
faustias
Penta - sticky-nades or 5-ammo shot but spread Supra, Cestra, Ignis, Flux - clipless firearm. means no reload, just fire it all out Torid - crawling bugs, but no damage on impact. damage is dealt when the bugs cling on a moving entity. Symbols
Weapon/frame synergy Volt+Latron= railgun alternate fire giving innate pass through with a decent chunk of true armor ignoring damage, but requiring a full clip and 30 energy (unaffected by frame powers/mods) Vauban+Penta= replacing a clip with short term, exploding teslas, but uses double ammo and 40 energy (unaffected by frame powers/mods). The teslas would last, say, 3 seconds, have damage based on mods in the penta, and explode at the end of their timer. Saryn+Mire= ranged blades on charge. Think old school Zelda games where having full health would let you shoot swords. Deal big bonus slashing and corrosive damage (based on mire mods) for 20 energy (unaffected by frame powers/mods (seeing a pattern here?)). Nova+dark dagger? Ash+hikou? Rhino+furax? etc etc edit: wait, rhino+furax would totally be falcon punch, jeez Edited January 7, 2014 by Symbols
Overlord_Hades
This make me think of the resistance series and I would dig secondary functions on guns. Adds more verity and strategy to the game. However we have a lot of weapons so would this have a restriction to what weapons have dual firing options or not ?
shut
We don't need anything spectacular, like "empty clip for massive explosion" or anything. Not on simple-concept weapons like Penta/Ogris or anything. Secondary firing functions like what Ballistica, Stug, Bows, and Miter have are good examples of simple and intuitive, which is what secondary firing modes should be (if using one button). Most of them just need to be made more viable. For spectacular effects (e.g. assault rifle releases crazy energy blast at the cost of 5x the ammo), that would require a brand-new weapon concept and design that would allow for such a thing. Putting them on existing weapons like Dera would be silly.
