The slogging, meat-grinding, soul-nourishing arguments, heated debates and fights between sweaty, hot tenno! To that end, here I will make a long thread you should overlook because it may hurt your feelings or turn you evil. (or make you ignore it because it's long) --------------------------------------------------------------- What do Tenno usually argue about? What a foolish question, young padawan. Anything and EVERYTHING! Still, there are some generalizations and common arguments that some Tenno claim are 'discussions'. a) Gear Comparisons! - Omg this gear is op. Omg this needs nerf. Omg that sux. Omg you sux. - The greatest of Tenno debates, where honourable Tenno forgo their self-respect to engage in ego-satisfying fights! - Simply to defend and to uphold their ideals, they would attack, deface and force their own will upon others! - Whether it is by listed fact, seasoned experimentation or simply estimations and speculations, these happen. b) Everything Else - Everything else. ------------------------------------------------------------- How do you win? There are many things one needs to win such fights among the Tenno. - First and foremost, you require the guts to push on no matter what the risks! When proven wrong, find a new reasoning. When personally attacked, stand strong! To hold your own for your own opinion! - To complement the first, you require a good sense of logic! Of course, logic is required to handle strong debates, however, it isn't necessary You may continue fighting without it. - If you do have logic, you may also have knowledge and intelligence! The application of the things you see and know and understand is a powerful tool in this grand fight against those who do not agree with you, Tenno! - It is recommendable to also have good grammar. A good presentation, an impression of force is required to show your strut. Threaten the enemy and force him into defence through mere detailing of comprehensive words! Scare them with your mastery of the language in which you argue! - Of course, those with heavy mathematical prowess may also show their powers in such fights, Tenno. Simply draw upon your accurate and precise mathematical skills to overcome their opinions! Everything has roots in mathematics and as such will falter if you can break those roots with your own roots! - Starting strong is also key, Tenno! Always fight with an opening argument that is solid. Give them no room to grow! Use the weight of the first opinion to your advantage! Fall back to that whenever you can't handle any progress! ------------------------------------------------------------- How do you REALLY win? Lol I lied. The stuff up there isn't how you WIN. - Be popular/supported by the majority. Instant-winner policy. - Walk away from the argument realizing that if you had continued with it, the only things you really get is a loss of time and more people think you're a waste of time in itself. There is no 'win' for you. ------------------------------------------------------------- What if they are insulting my pride and walking away would hurt me? - KEEP FIGHTING! YOUR PRIDE WILL BE RESTORED! /sarcasm - Use your popular support to overrule their existence within the community and completely undermine them. - I think it ought to hurt your pride more if you CAN'T walk away from someone who doesn't even exist to you. ------------------------------------------------------------- What if I WANT to argue for whatever reasons? - Then do it! The methods are listed above! ------------------------------------------------------------- Alternative Cases When things are unusual. - If you went to someone's art thread to insult their works and everyone else shoots at you, you may use specialized attacks like "you posted it and only want praise?" or "so I can't say I don't like something if everyone else prefers being soft and playing nice?", followed by "Attention wh*r*.".(you're still in the wrong for attacking first/responding to a disagreement of your mention of dislike with an attack, just so you know) - If the argument's purpose is to insult one another, it's best you let them attack first. Once they've given you enough material from careless insults, you can return those to them with a more convincing point, seeing as they're the ones who brought them up. - Remember, in a 1v1 scenario, it is often more effective to play defensively! - When the case involves DE, just walk away. No Tenno has the authority to stand up against the tyranny of absolute ownership. ------------------------------------------------------------- Additional Notes - I wish you fortune in your battles, Tenno.
