Can Anyone Help With My Graphics Issue?

Question

zT4904M.jpg

Since yesterday, my graphics have gone mad.

Suddenly i started seeing diagonal dots from right-top to left bottom.

Reinstalling graphics driver and windows didn't solve this problem.

But since the dots are visible in the screenshot, i speculated that the problem is software not the hardware.

Does anyone know how to solve this?

VGA : GTX 660

CPU : i7-3770

I'm using samsung monitor, and when i use my CPU's internal graphic chipset there is no dot.

And if it was monitor issue, the dots shouldn't exist in the screenshot.

You beat me to it. Anyway, is there any way your card could have been damaged, and have you tried going to an older version of your drivers to see if the problem persists?

In my opinion, you've already covered the software side of things by re installing windows and graphics drivers. Perhaps try booting in safe mode and see if the problem still persists.

But really, it sounds to me like you have a hardware issue. See 3rd example down.

If you have spare parts, try different RAM or GPU. One or both may be dying/having issues.

PS. Your CPU has integrated graphics and therefore you can run your computer without the graphics card.. Make sure it's enabled through the bios, and remove your graphics card. If the dots disappear, there's your issue.

You actually providet the answer yourself here,

Its your graphic card!

its soon gonna die, so get it sendt to Nvidia or to the vendor where you bought the PC. hope its under 2 years old, or you will have to pony up the mony for a new one,..

I've not seen this before.

Try cleaning cable connectors to your vid or changing cables (internal and external)?

Do you still see the dots in safe mode?

Dots only show after windows has fully started(after i see backgrounds)
