Deidaku
Title, same Firing mechanic as the Castanas but Deals more damage , blast damage , wider range but has very Little ammo ( 2/20) and can kill the user. You could set up 1 or 2 of them like a trap of incoming enemies What do you guys think? Edited February 24, 2014 by Deidaku

Right now there's no decreases in ammo among weapons, so I'd suggest the weak point be that there can only be a few out at a time. Let's say 4, so if you multishot you can only toss twice, and it encourages you to just use Barrel Diffusion rather than Barrel Diffusion AND Lethal Torrent. I'm thinking they trigger by enemy proximity rather than manual (Castanas) or timer (Stug). Could be cool.

That's why we have the unlimited Penta ammo right?
Volt_Cruelerz
Such low ammo... This would be good for stealth, but that's it.

Yep, mines! :) There's a big empty hole where proximity explosions want to go. Granted, they could turn it into a mod but it'd probably be more fun for it to be a different weapon altogether. Deidaku
Couldn't you just slap on an ammo mutation mod and go nuts? Imagine how broken it would be : just mine the entire map and go to extraction :

Archistopheles
Penta does the same thing, but with better range. It's blast damage too.
Deidaku
Penta does the same thing, but with better range. It's blast damage too. So the mines could have a bigger radius and more damage I guess
ExplosiveFuel
I have to say no to this, as it's to close to call of duty or other similar games.
KittyDarkling
well I dont think c4/mines/ whatever would be a very enjoyable primary. That being said I think there's two ways this can work. The Big Bomb: - Allow only 3 charges on the map at a time (enough to support fully multistory) - Give the explosion a large radius - Have the charge have a subtle holo display that marks it's radious - The holo display is affected by energy color - The damage should be massive, comparable to Ogris - This weapon will have full self damage. - The charge is placed at the user's feet. - The charge is either timed or triggered. - Mag size of 1 - Reload speed of 2 seconds This set up makes a weapon that's extremely dangerous to use but has a large pay off. The Mines: - Allow 12 charges on the map at a time. - If you try to throw more down then the earliest mine will self destruct. - Give the explosion a comparable radius to the Castanas - The damage should be less then the Castanas - This weapon would have full self damage. - The charge is placed like the Castanas - The charge is only proximity based. - Higher fire rate then the Castanas - Larger clip then the Castanas This would let up create the elaborate minefields of our dreams, SO, thoughts on these two weapons? Yes so are snipers (vectis) , assault rifles(Soma KArak , Braton) , ; SMGs( Grakata, vipers, furis) , LMGs( Gorgon , supra ), and stun mines( Castanas), not very constructive man,and not only cod has mines ........ I prefer the second one but there should be less bombs set at a time 8 cahrges? the big bomb is too inefficient, so little bombs , and you have to wait for the enemies to come but your team kills them first , too slow
