How To Level Up Melee? (Pre-U13)

Whats the quickest way to level up melee weapons?

get a nova in your squad

this applies to all gear

Equip it then play with other people they will level it up for you.

 

If you want a less passive way they do a max duration loki build and go slaughter with that 4X damage multiplyer.

Group up a bunch of infested, not ancients or explosive runners, and kill them all with your melee weapon. But if your warframe is too squishy or if you can't avoid an ancient or runner or crawler that is too low for you to hit, then just do it the normal way: Attack with it.

In a team:

Leech, don't use primary, sidearm or damaging abilities.

 

Solo:

1) Ash/Loki with invis build in Survival mission

2) Excalibur/Loki with crowd control build in Defense mission

 

 

In short, just use any of those three frame, since they can give 4x melee damage multiplier.

 

Another one is Vauban, but Bastille might annoys you because it lift enemies.

Fastest way is buy Affinity booster and go to survival with team that all uses melee for as long as possible, kill, kill, kill....if done right, you can get any weapon (not just melee) to 30 in just 2 survival missions provided you go at least 30+ minutes each time.   I've done this a few times using affinity booster and with random pug's too, so I know it's possible.

 

 

OH and few more tips...Try using loki or ash as your frame and have Valkyr, Nova, Banshee or Rhino on your team.  Loki and Ash get bonus melee damage while in stealth and the other frames being on your team can help boost your melee damage output so you have a easier time killing heavy units at the later stages of survival.  

 

Pretty much you should be able go from unranked to rank 18 - 20 in one mission, the last 10 or so ranks shouldn't be that hard.  At worse case scenario you may need to do 3 runs to get your weapon to level 30 but it all depends on the quality and patience of the team.   There's always someone ready to leave as soon as they get incapacitated one time or they're weapons are doing 100 damage instead of 200.
