(PSN)MaatRa91
I was thinking, how about making us buy ammo at the market with credits. For example, New players and old will always stock up on ammo and if they don't have enough, they resort to using their respective melee weapons. That means, melee 2.0 will have much use and be really useful. Also means no more ammo drops. Anyone in support or have a much better idea, add to this topic. Thank you. Deidaku
Yes and no Yes , before a certain update we could directly buy ammo packs withcredits....now we have to craft them -_- No , ammo drops have to stay , some weapons are just too ammo inefficient

Arbiter_of_Soul
But why would you force something like this. New players already struggle with the game as the difficulty in the beginning, with no resources, decently leveled mods or weapons is already quite high. Furthermore having access to all 3 weapons for free means you can choose what to use. Personally I would use melee far more often as I just like splitting marines in two, but there are people who dislike getting too close for comfort. They too should have the choice. Also if you like playing with bullet-spewing weapons, such as the Wraith Twin Vipers, Ill need to be buying ammo in the truckloads, seems a bit exessive and overcomlicated to manage all this stuff. Jag272
While i can understand your reasoning behind suggesting such an idea, concepts like this simply become tedious very quickly once the novelty of it wears off and also it makes the new player experience even harder than it already is. Not to mention this completely changes the type of weapons that are viable, weapons such as the latron would be king whereas spam weapons like the soma would cost boatloads of credits and bows/sniper could potentially become very inefficient due to small ammo pool. Judging by what we saw on the livestream melee is already plenty viable in melee 2.0, we shouldnt need any more changes.
Un1337ninj4
Dude, noobs struggle with credits as is, this isn't a well thought out idea.
LGear
The intent of Melee 2.0 is so that it can be a viable combat alternative to firearms, balancing melee weapons to be on the same level. Making ammo difficult to acquire would be a step in the far opposite direction: making firearms expensive to use while making melee godlike, creating imbalance. There's also the issue of ammo-inefficient weapons like the Twin Vipers, Dex Furis, Gorgon, Supra etc, which rely on massive amounts of ammo to be viable, and they're not even the best weapons in their class. To top it off, they often run out of ammo very, very quickly in missions even with the proper ammo efficiency mods and proper burst control. Cutting down their effectiveness further by having truly limited ammo is not worth it. And then of course you have the Ammo Mutation Mods... will they become obsolete just because ammo no longer drops from missions? The current ammo system works fine as it is. Also, you can in fact already craft Ammo Restores by buying the BP's from the market or the Dojo Chem Lab.
ThePresident777
I would think that being fun to use would be enough to make something useful in a game. In my opinion, the current system is much more entertaining than the proposed system. Therefore, I think it is better to leave ammo the way it is now.
