Dragon Nikana - Coincidnce?

To think about it, there are two variants of the Nikana; the Nikana itself, and its stronger brother the Dragon Nikana.

Harkening back to an old game in 2004, Ninja Gaiden. The protagonist, Ryu Hayabusa, carried the main icon of the series, the Dragon Sword. Throughout the story, the sword is later imbued with the Dragon's Eye jewel, which increased the power of the weapon, making it the True Dragon Sword. This can be paralleled with the Nikana, albeit slightly; there is a slightly weaker variant in the beginning, and there is a much stronger incarnation of the same blade.

Just something random to point out. Coincidence? Or am I just putting too much thought into it?

There are many examples of melee weapons that get upgraded over time to a more powerful variant. Coincidence? Maybe.
