SoanoS
All Nova needs is a spam-prevention like Nyx's Chaos. In other words, unable to use Molecular Prime again until every single previously primed enemy is killed. Result: Continuous M. Prime spam issue fixed, without nerfing the ability to uselessness. Cpl_Facehugger
Make M-Prime affected by duration, and keep the current 60 second time. This would be fine by me. Then halve the damage caused by explosions to reduce chain explosions on higher levels and to make it a debuff rather than a 'kill everything' button. On high levels the chain explosions already don't happen to begin with. Frankly, the damage is not the problem with M-Prime at all. Because at low levels other frames can nuke faster and better. It's only at higher levels where that starts to fall off.
Edgedemon
just eliminate the slow effect AND reduce the damage buff that way it would require a little more effort for first kill but chain would work as intended, you would still be the highest damage dealer. But stop also being the strongest debuff on a single frame on a single button
RealPandemonium
It's not "overpowered", because it's a teamwork-based game. It's just disproportionally effective in comparison to some other abilities. Nova having M.Prime doesn't adversely affect your ability to play the game or experience the content, nor does it place you at a disadvantage, because you're not going head-to-head against Nova. There's a difference between "imbalanced" and "overpowered", and I wish people would subscribe to a more reasonable approach to balance in a co-operative game. When we say overpowered we imply that it trivializes and thus eliminates gameplay systematically. All the people comparing similar frame abilities as if it's a pvp game (usually they're just butthurt that their favorite frame isn't THE BEST BUILD) are a toxic and annoying distraction to actual feedback. All Nova needs is a spam-prevention like Nyx's Chaos. In other words, unable to use Molecular Prime again until every single previously primed enemy is killed. Result: Continuous M. Prime spam issue fixed, without nerfing the ability to uselessness. Not really, since the range is huge and the afflicted enemies' demise is hastened by the effects of the skill. This would slow down spam only marginally at best at relevant levels of play. This would be fine by me. On high levels the chain explosions already don't happen to begin with. Frankly, the damage is not the problem with M-Prime at all. Because at low levels other frames can nuke faster and better. It's only at higher levels where that starts to fall off. The damage is a problem. Nothing is balanced for infinite content. Relevant gameplay content consists of the solar map and Void/Derelict content. For defenses and survivals only the first 30 waves 40 minutes or so are in the reach of regular balance considerations. In all of these situations M Prime trivializes gameplay in every way except for invulnerability (M Prime's slow comes close and Trinity says Hi.) Wolfstorm18
Double M-Prime damage and cut its energy consumption by half.
