Severe Fps Loss With Local Reflections On, Restores Fps If Toggled Off/on.

Not sure where to report this. There's no 'performance issues' forum section anymore.

So, I've been one of those people that have seemed to have progressively worse performance as time goes on; or just generally low performance compared to other people who claim to have good performance.

I logged on today for the first time after the 7.7 update and went in a mission to see my health/shields. It was an infested mission, which have vastly lower framerates than grineer or even the outdoor ice missions.

My framerate dropped as low as 26. http://i.imgur.com/xXfRyhP.jpg

This is on an i7-3770K @4.5GHz (Warframe running on physical cores only) and a GTX 670 boosting to 1241MHz. (Full system specs here)

Needless to say, this shouldn't be happening.

I decided to find out what option was causing this issue.

Initially I thought PhysX, because there were a lot more particle effects in infestation levels. Turns out my FPS didn't even budge when I turned it off. I was quite surprised.

Tried dynamic lighting next.. about a 2 FPS increase.

HDR; no change.

Local Reflections: FPS shot up to 60 (capped).

My initial reaction was "Oh god, it got rid of the shininess and now everything looks dull, I really hope I don't have to play like this".

I toggled it back on for comparison's sake.

My FPS stayed at 60.

I thought it was a fluke. Toggled it off/on a few more times, still 60. Alt+tabbed the game thinking doing that screwed it up somehow; still 60. Ran around in the current area to be sure it wasn't a fluke; still 60.

Needless to say, that made me come and report the bug.

Here's screenshot proof of the issue:

After toggle: http://i.imgur.com/XX0Fvyr.jpg

Any thoughts on what exactly has caused this issue? I assume it's also happening to other people who have complained about terrible performance.

Edit: Running in DX11 with 64bit client.

Is there any chance you could provide a copy of your EE.log after you have had this issue occur on your machine?

Your EE.log can be found at the following location:

%LOCALAPPDATA%\Warframe

Once you have your log then please submit a ticket to http://support.warframe.com/

Thanks a lot!

Edit: My mistake, I just realized your screenshot displays the full screen setting.
