Etsoree
Even for Platinum though that wouldn't be fair. I named him Shiro. I wanna change it now after I saw his colors.

Entari0
i certainly understand why you would want to be able to rename your pet, but if you had a pet dog IRL, would you just one day decide to call it by a new name? Just a thought
SilverHazzes
Well, go to Camphrier Town and ask the name rater inside of the pokemon center, he will help you unless you have a kubrow obtained by trading. Serious answer: I don´t know, maybe it could be cool. I prefer to stay with the first names because it shows some history about when I first got the kubrows and that´s definetly something to apreciate but not everyone cares about that so I guess it isn´t a bad idea. Just a thought There's a different between real life dogs and a virtual dog. Unless WF has a voice mechanic in which the kubrow only responds when you say its name, changing the name is a good thing to be able to do. cyril1204
Even if it's only a virtual dog, the thing DE wants when they implemented kubrows is that you will feel attached and care for it as if it's real, not just as a tool for battle

I named mine Smoke yet he's a brown and yellow kubrow.

If it isn´t a tool you can´t switch it like you do with the sentinels. If you want to use a kubrow, you will use it for a day or a couple of days, that´s how it works and it´s pretty intersting that way.

SilverHazzes
Since when... it depends in the element you are burning. When cars have oil consumption they burn the oil and the smoke gets a different colour for example.

I don´t think it´s a bad feature but it´s in the hands of DE and their concept about Kubrows. Peace

Vitras
It'd probably help a ton to not give them a name until they are fully grown giving you full knowledge of what they actually look like. Had a big surprise going from a small, fat, boy raksa to tall, skinny, female raksa; and yet they looked exactly the same as pups (aside from color). MrBoople
Well i mean i get that people wouldn't start calling their REAL dog a different name, but I have a real reason. I had just gotten to the point where i could name my kubrow and I had to use the restroom. My friend, lets call him jake, was sitting next to me on his computer and, seeing as how i left that up, immediately named him PornHub. I don't really wan't to pay platinum, but i really don't want her named after a porn site.

UltimateSpinDash
Guys, please don't use real life logic in this. This is a virtual dog, there is no reason why we shouldn't be able to rename it.
SquirmyBurrito
Guys, please don't use real life logic in this. This is a virtual dog, there is no reason why we shouldn't be able to rename it. The attempt at using RL logic doesn't even work since you CAN rename your pets. I did it. I got my cat to respond to Smushed Face, and I got my brother's dog to accept a not so nice term as her name. Didn't take much effort either.
