I destroyed it and was making my way out, looting everything and taking my sweet time. Suddenly....mission failed. Why? Is there a timer or something after you kill the reactor? Only when Lotus tells you the ship integrity is compromised should you run straight for the exits as fast as possible. Otherwise, there's no timer.
