(Bug) Getting Rifle Kills With A Marelok

Simple, I was getting Rifleman kills with a Marelok (secondary weapon).

 

Edit: I must add that since I was in this 500 Conclave Hyena mission, I didn't have equipped any Primary or Melee weapon.

This tends to happen when you don't have a primary weapon equiped. I don't see reason to fix this.

 

If anything, that challenge shouldn't even show up when you don't have a primary.

It's a bug, so doesn't matter what kind of bug needs a fix.

Also after 20 kills, they stopped counting, so I couldn't get the extra affinity.

AFAIK, if you don't have any primary weapon equipped, your secondary will be able to achieve the Rifleman challenge. This has been the case as far back as Update 13.

 

Note that if you don't have a secondary equipped, you can't use your primary to get the pistol challenge.

And my friend who was using only a Marelok too had the Rifleman challenge too but he didn't get a single kill count.

That's odd then. I've completed the Rifleman Challenge with my pistol lots of times.
