Question

Hi tenno, today I wanna ask something that has put me on doubt a couple of days ago, the thing is, what have i to see when i want to choose the indicated stance for my melee weapons? I mean, not following just the polarity aura I guess there's other reasons like more damage, or combos or stuff like that.

Peace yourself.

Following the polarity is nice if you need more polarity for other mod... Otherwise you can just keep the one you like the most regarding the combo.
Also, some stance allow you some combo with particular things that other doesn't, for example some combo give you a splash attack on the last hit or a 100% chance proc.

I always check the wiki for stance ^^

Using a stance with a different polarity does not decrease Damage or anything with the stats.

If you need that extra slot points go ahead and use a same polarity stance.

But in some cases, other weapons works best with the different polarity stance - but this is fine, it's still adds points to total capacity.

In my case, I prefer to use Bleeding Willow over Shimmering Blight (which is the pair polarity of Orthos Prime).

It is up to you if you want to use Forma to match the polarity - BUT I suggest you try out both stance first. See which you like best for the weapon!
