Long Survival And Defense In Groups Of Two Or Three

Question

I know that everybody here have a preference for a team with four frames and how to deal with long survivals and defense.

In my case I really have a hard time to put together a team with four strong players with the right frames and loadout.

In this case, when you are playing only with three or two players, what is the absolute necessary frame and weapon that cannot  be left out? For instance, I know a desecrate Nekros can help in long survivals but maybe if only playing in two or three players it won´t be as useful.

Please help me out.

Thanks,

I came back to the game on request of some friends who started playing, and we now can run long Survivals. Our most common trio is Nekros, Disarm Loki and Trinity. We usually do 40 min + T3s and 30 min + T4s without activating any pods or maybe one or two.

If you want to run Infested Survival or ODD, take 3 or 4 Nekros and use all pods, because Infestation drops less than a third O2 than any other faction, with Desecrate or not.

my fav set up is spam desecrate nekro, Nova molecular prime build, Loki radial disarm build and the 4th is usually a rhino set up with distance/duration stomp. Usually get 60 minutes t4 survivals with that set up if people have decent weapons. pretty simple set up really, nova and loki just disarming and slowing with nekro feeding them energy and getting oxygen while the rhino stomps if people need reviving or to slow the enemies down even more later on.

can replace the rhino with pretty much anything if you're not planning on doing long runs, could probably replace the nekro if you really had to as well. it's the loki/nova combo that makes it work.

To make Defense or Survival a cakewalk:

Core Crowd Control:

- Nyx (Max range Chaos + Absorb, Mind-Control is optional for T4)

- Loki (Max range Radial Disarm, none of that "I'm an invis only Loki" bullcrap, because Lokis that do that are basically not Lokis)

- Excalibur (Max range and duration Radial Blind), however I will note, I prefer Loki and Nyx over Excalibur because they have more options available to them.

King DPS:

- Mirage (600% damage increase Eclipse mode with an Amprex)

- Nova (M Prime spammer, no other abilities needed - Soma or Quanta is a good choice)

- Volt (Shield + Amprex or other weapon or choice, works best with Amprex though)

- Mag (Shield Polarize with 500% damage build, preferably with Rifle Amp or Corrosive Projection Aura)

Supporters:

- Trinity (for heals)

- Nekros (for heals and oxygen)

- Oberon (for renewal - untested)

Specialist:

- Vauban with Loki (defense synergy)

- Frost (defense specialist)

- Rhyperior (survivalist for survival missions) -Note: Don't take a Rhinoob

- Hydroid (partial CC for Defense, random DPS for Survival)

- Zephyr (Survivalist with partial CC)

That's how I classify the frames, take the ones you need.

In a two-man cell, I'm always Loki or Nyx and my partner will play Nova or whatever she's comfortable with.

Almost forgot. Something to be said about Radial Disarm after its recent change (not sure when it happened as I just returned): If you are running a Disarm Loki in Survival (and you should be) ask them to keep running and damaging far away mobs to gather them for your group. Radial Disarm causes them to go out of Alerted status, and they will sometimes stop rushing to the players' location, making spawns stop.
