Renegade343 Posted October 7, 2014 Share Posted October 7, 2014 Hello all, This thread will detail a small suggestion to fairly bring back Slash DOT to Dark Sectors PVP (and possibly Conclaves as well), allowing more weapons and abilities to be useful in PVP, while still feeling balanced. The content is below: In a patch, DE(L) has disabled Slash DOT on players (for reasons that have escaped my mind for now) (or it could be a bug). While that is an alright tweak (at least at the start of gameplay), it does restrict some builds, especially those with Slash-based status weapons, and thus reduce build diversity in PVP. However, it does gets ridiculous at its current iteration, with its Finisher type damage. That means sometimes, a stray bullet equals death. Thus, to bring back better build diversity while still keeping it fair against players, in PVP, Slash DOT will deal 75% of its DOT to Shields, and 25% of its DOT to Health, and both DOTs will deal Slash Damage. When shields are down, then 100% of its DOT will be dealt to health. With this change, this will allow more useful builds for players to use, while making it balanced against the other damage types.
