New Mods Not Equipping

I got this mod called Fatal Acceleration and it is for shotguns, but when I equip a shotgun to see about putting that mod on, the mod is not available.  It does not show up in the mod list below the weapon mod slots.

really?  okay.  I checked to see it if would ay arch-wing on it, and it did not.  I checked in the gun section of the mod screen for it, and it was under primary and had nothing to do with archwing weaponry.

 

Edit: @Magicfingers.  I looked on the wiki.  that seems to be right.   Thanks for showing me that

Same deal as with Range mods for rifles and pistols. The category is incorrectly stated as "Shotgun" (actually only accessible for Drakgoon), "Any" (only beam weapons - things like Flux Rifle, Glaxion, etc) and "Pistol" (beam weapons again, so only Spectra and Nukor).

 

And wiki is being ENTIRELY unhelpful about this, because these mods aren't "only useful" for listed weapons, they are only equipable on them, and nowhere else.
