How Strong Is Dark Sword?

I was told it was one of the best melee weapons but even at max rank i dont feel god like T.T

what are  the mods requirements for it to be strong?  so far i have  charge  dmg, speed, crit dmg, chance,  armor piercing and element fire.

Its not that good like all longswords, the problem is that they dont hit multiple enemies and the dark sword lacks range!

Dark Sword has the highest single target charge damage/sec with the exception of Furax, which has an even smaller range.

 

Mod it with:

 

+Charge dmg, +Charge Speed, +AP Damage, +Fire dmg, +Cold Damage, +RoF (if you like fast slide attacks), +damage (if you like slide attacks/jump attacks/execute), then crit damage/elec damage/crit chance in that order.

 

Use it to take out single units - especially useful against Grineer and Corpus, imo. You want a weapon that hits multiple enemies for Infested missions.

Strong with the right mods, godly with the right hands. I can 1-hit everything in Pluto except ancients, heavy grineers and bosses.

I would use single target blades for just bosses in case ^^, i like the plasma sword for the same reason ^^.
