Soma Build- Crit With Elemental Or Raw Dmg?

I'm going for a crit build for the Soma. Should i go max slash build or elemental?

Always use elemental mods, they give a greater benefit than raw damage due to bonus damage per enemy type.

I always use 1 elemental combo, they should be better than punc/slash etc. (not 100% sure though)

Also some proc effects can be nice.

Elemental.

 

Soma may be more slash than anything, but it is still only 50% of the weapon's total damage..

So a 120% Slash mod may sound good, but its only working on half the weapons damage, so that makes it +60%.

 

A 90% element works of the total base damage, so it is adding 90% :)

For a 120% Slash or Puncture mod to be better than a 90% element, the weapons base needs to be 80%+ slash or puncture.

 

Edit: I have not used mine in a while, but :-

Crit damage, Crit chance, serration, split chamber, shred (personal choice), 2 elements and a bane mod.

I'm not sure if Hammershot is worthwhile over a Bane Mod.

Physical Mods are not very useful on Soma.

 

just use Elementals.

No, but since void doesn't have its own bane mod, you might as well use it for the void loadout.
