a rift annomly occurs allowing the Tenno, grineer etc to go back to orokiin era earth. This would alow us to see the orokiin in their prime, no pun intended. this opens the doors for new weapons etc. real orokiin tech

NO! NOOOO!! NOO!! NO NO NO NO!!

OH GOD PLEASE NO!

Time travel plots are way too hard to keep straight.

It will create plot holes more than plenty by merely existing.

And we'll have to establish rules for the time space continuum in Warframe.

Do seperate realities form everytime time travel is applied?

Do these realities converge with the main time line or are they destroyed?

If they are destroyed were they destroyed because they didn't share common ground with the main timeline?

If so can we even trust the information we get from there?

If no realities are formed and it is the same time line with just us going back and handling a crisis in the Orokin era, would that make US the Orokin in a way? Would this be the grandfather paradox? Would any of our meddling affect only small things or absolutely everything with a ripple effect across time?

Keeping all the different paradoxes and rules straight would just create plot holes and make me go crazy.

An ancient temple full of knowledge lost in deep space would be better!

No time travel!

I hate time travel being added to anything where time travel isn't the central premise (Doctor Who, Back to the Future, ect.)

Warframe has no precedent for time travel, nor any need. Lore can just as easily be given to us through other means.

This sums up all my complaints.

BTW: your "ancient temple full of knowledge" now has me wanting a library in the relay.

If there is any "time travel", it would be into the future by the Orokin due to them trying to escape the Tenno or something. What's the difference between moving back in time and moving forward in time? Back causes paradoxes and usually end up being terrible stories. Moving forward in time shouldn't cause paradoxes as long as it is far enough into the future. (unless there are parallell universes and you figure out that you were killed in the universe that you went forwards into by the Tenno so you shouldn't exist however you do. That wouldn't cause paradoxes or the destruction of the universe kinda thing.

If travel to the past ever occurs, IMO it should be more along the lines of a "reflection"- not visiting the actual past, but encountering some sort of temporal anomaly that's replaying past events- thus interfering with them would be either impossible or inconsequential.
