Was The Removal Of Arcane Helms Neccesary? [Added] Possible Proposal Of Return

Yeah seeing how I paid for my Arcane Avalon Helm, I'd be pretty pissed if they removed the buff from it.

The arcane helmets were great. This specific stat/style thing was what made people mad though. Specific playstyles required specific styles on your frame. It wasn't the best solution but simply deleting the stats was the wrong decition in my opinion.

They should have a return in a different setup. For example with the possibility to enchant them with the stat-set you need.

They could set the enchants up like they did with reactors and generators. As rare reward-craftables or for 20pl in the market.

This would benefit the players and get some profit going.

Tell me how exactly did DE fix the solution? The way I see it, we used to get the helms from alert rewards and the market. Now we just get them from trade. So how exactly is this "fixed"?

 

You're working on the assumption that having to trade for arcane helmets is "bad". That's not what DE was trying to "fix". They said "We want there to be no MORE Arcane Helmets because it makes people crabby that they feel FORCED to wear ugly helmets for stats."

 

They didn't make Arcane helmets go away, they didn't make the STATS go away, they made ADDITIONAL arcane helmets go away. No more. None. At all. Just like the Excalibur Prime. You're never going to see MORE of them in-game than there are RIGHT NOW. There are a finite number of Arcane helmets and a finite number of Arcane helmet BPs. No more, no less.

 

So yeah, you're asking the wrong question. No longer are you constraining new players from HAVING to wear silly, ugly hats, for advantages because EVERYONE has them. There are now X Numbers of people with them. And if you just HAVE to have one, you can trade for it. But DE isn't going to hand you easy access to Magical Stat Hats for purchase. If you're SO broken up that you HAVE to wear the Silly Hat of +5 to Ugly Status, you can STILL theoretically get it, but DE doesn't have to make it easy for you.
